No serious side effects, maybe a headache since I started it. I switched to Climara Pro because my pharmacy was having a hard time getting my Combi Patch on time.
I like the once a week application, but pretty annoyed about the typing on the actual patch. What’s the point in a CLEAR PATCH if you’re going to type the brand name, ingredients and dosage on the damn thing?!?
Anxiety, depression, feelings of fear. Increased hot flashes. Everything I had in 2008 when this crazy menopause started.
I was on Activella from 2009-2012. Then switched to Combipatch 2013-2016(April) and my co pay went through the roof due to a new Rx company. I switched to Climara Pro and it's not 1/10th the help that Combipatch was. The only positive thing I can say about Combipatch is that I sleep better. The rest is a train wreck. I'm having panic attacks again, not wanting to leave my house. Overwhelmed by daily activities. It's crazy I know that the change between synthetic estrogen/progesterone types would do this, but it has. I am a medical professional and I just can't be like this again. Something has to give. Will report later.
22 cm2 Climara Pro system contains 4.40 mg estradiol and 1.39 mg levonorgestrel. Only comes in 1 concentration. Better than oral which left me with severe diestive issues, reflux, depression, headaches, dizziness, nausea, bad taste in mouth, dry mouth, sore throat, ringing in ears. On full patch, sleep better, flushes reduced. Thinking slightly clearer. Memory still impared. However, sore throat cough, are decreased from oral. Half patch seems better. Fewer side effects, and still can sleep. However my doctor says do not use half and wants me to see a GI doctor. All these side effects are listed in the packaging materials.
Only comes in 1 size/dose. Patch comes off if you are not careful. Still leaves gooey residue at end of week.

CLIMARA PRO (ESTRADIOL; LEVONORGESTREL): This medication contains 2 female hormones: an estrogen (estradiol) and a progestin (levonorgestrel). It is used by women to help reduce a certain symptom of menopause (hot flashes). Symptoms of menopause are caused by the body making less estrogen. The progestin in this medication helps to reduce the risk of cancer of the uterus which can be caused by using estrogen. Women who have had their uterus removed do not need the progestin and therefore should not use this combination medication. If you are using this medication to treat symptoms only in and around the vagina, products applied directly inside the vagina should be considered before medications that are taken by mouth, absorbed through the skin, or injected. This medication may also be used by women after menopause to prevent bone loss (osteoporosis). However, there are other medications (such as raloxifene, bisphosphonates including alendronate) that are also effective in preventing bone loss and may be safer. Back pain so severe, patient can barely walk; dizziness, headache, acid reflux, severe leg cramping, very dry mouth, dry eyes---you name a side effect, patient suffered with it (except that her jaw seems still to be alive). Patient wishes she were dead.

Early on: transient dizziness after taking medicine. With increased dosage: extreme restlessness at night, increased anxiety.
Took Miramax due to straining with BM. On pain meds that tend to bind me. Now can't stop it and I leak with into underwear numerous times a day.
