Side Effects for Ciclopirox (ciclopirox)

NO side effects but doesn't work

I used this on my 2 big toes EVERY DAY for 5 years, followed the instructions to the letter and it not only did not work but I ended up with the fungus spreading to the toe beside the big toe on both feet. The nails are still separated from the skin on both feet and now on 4 toes.

CICLOPIROX (CICLOPIROX): This medication is used to treat fungal infections of the fingernails and toenails. It is used as part of a treatment program that includes the removal of unattached, infected nails by a health care professional as frequently as once a month. Ciclopirox works by stopping the growth of fungus. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

This drug has helped. It seems to be more effective than purinethol or asacol was for me. I have occasional bad flares and some symptoms while on it. If I watch my diet and stress levels, then I have mild symptoms. I had more flares when I was on the other meds.

It's weird that this med caused anger in me, because I thought it was used to lower anger and irritability.

Tingling legs, arms, face. Forgot words. Agitated. Angry. Insomnia. Severe period bleeding. Excessive blood loss!! Uterine cramping. Severe thigh cramping felt like muscles were locked on. Confusion. Depression. Unable to eat. Unable to think!!! Seriously dangerous side effects.

Extreme tiredness, forgetfulness, mood swings, aching body, legs feel filled with concrete when i walk, head filled with cotton wool fuzzy moments, period began heavy, bowel disturbance, craving sweet things

Severe depression, Manic, Hallucinations, Night terrors, Sweating and Anxiety

Knocked out my allergies well. Side effects do not seem to be a fair trade off though.

Emotional, sad/depressed, irritable, cramping (while not on period)

Major symptom is the tiredness, no matter which word I use it can be described as debilitating. I am currently in a wheelchair if I leave the house and cannot push it myself-I'm too scared about having a seizure to use a mobility scooter. I ahve managed to control my sleep so that I have 8-9hours at night and 2-3hours in the afternoon, only if absolutely necessary.I have a strict sugar free/yeast free diet to control the IBS and it works to a certain point. The low sodium means that I drink less water/tea than I would like, it's either that or have a seizure due to excessively low sodium. I have never been able to go out to work or even study or work from home, initially from the seizures, but now from the tiredness. Doing very little and spending most of my day in bed or on the sofa is the norm and I will get dressed at weekends and go out with my husband for a couple of hours. I have given Oxcarbazepine 5 stars because it has very nearly totally controlled my severe convulsive seizures

sometimes blood pressure drops a little too low. Increased fatigue sometimes. Dry mouth sometimes.

severe cramping, some nausea, fatigue
