CEFPROZIL (CEFPROZIL): Cefprozil is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication is known as a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu). I used to be able to take this med without any side effects. Used to clear up a migraine in 15-30 mins. I guess my body doesn't respond well anymore. Last two times I've taken it, I've had the reaction above. Never taking again.

Anaphalatic shock - I turned into a pumpkin and had to go to the ER for treatment. Believe it was an alergice ratction.
Nothing I was experiencing before taking geodon was as bad as what I was experiencing after taking it. I don't know why I took it so long maybe it's the stock I put in "small town" psychiatry. I started taking it because of confused thinking, loss of reality and over all I smoked to much pot and had a few bad trips. Nothing i couldn't have worked on. After about 6 months of 160 MG at night (this stuff made be DEAD SLEEPY) I felt like I had no control my physical or mental health. I spiraled out of control and ended up in the ER with unexplained "panic" episodes where they would medicate me with Ativan. The ER "to this day" think I am a hypocondriac and refuse to really take a good look at me. I have been off geodon for about 4 months know and I feel the downward spiral has stopped but I am not getting better. I feel that this drug has hurt me physically and mentally. I can here my doctor tell me "you feel this way because of your condition." Bull. I know what this drug did to me. It hurt me.Just my experience. Pay attention to yourself while taking this drug.
Migraine, entire body aches, unable to take deep breath.
Headache, anxiety, adrenaline rushes, disorientation, hypersensitive nervous system. I started feeling these symptoms on the first day of introducing this medicine, and while I am prone to anxiety, this stuff amplified it. I've been off of it for three days and my system is starting to calm down. The same thing happened last year when seasonal allergies started to kick in, but I thought I'd try it again to see if it would be different this year. Not so. So not worth it for me - this med was awful. I feel for the other folks here who described similar anxiety issues. I'm using saline washes and a nasal spray product with xylitol in it that clears out my sinuses pretty well with no side effects.
My blood sugar did go down and appetite decreased. But side effects were so severe that I could not function in my daily life. Felt terrible, exhausted and disconnected from my life. I'm also extremely concerned about the potential damage from this drug. For me, this drug is not worth the problems it caused me.
