Cambia (diclofenac potassium) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Cambia (diclofenac potassium)

I take zomig 5mg nasal spray. It was taking longer to work when really severe cluster. Doctor prescribed Cambia to take 15 min after zomig. Works great. Completely gone in 10 min. Feel a bit dizzy and wobbly after but not bothered by that. Highly recommend.

I get tired but that could be caused by the migraine itself

The drug is very effective against migraine and it does not make me nauseous. I take on a full stomach.

it's amazing and takes away headache/migraine within 20 minutes. I am so thankful

Stops almost any migraine for me, but I can't take it too often due to having a sensitivity to NSAIDs. I tried some other generic NSAIDS due to the cost and that didn't work since I needed repeated dosages, which I couldn't tolerate.

Became so expensive, went to generic pill form.

Headaches and swelling. Pain in stomach.

I am only allowed to take no more than two a day and three a week. When I am out for that week I have to wait until the week is over to take anything else. Did not know that it would make my stomach problems worse.

Took 1 daily as needed with migraine. Best thing ever.

Cannot afford $900 before meeting deductible, then $200 copay after deductible. Shame on pharmaceutical company. Needless to say, cannot afford to take this medication.

Because of aspartame component I experienced worse migraines.

If aspartame is a trigger for your migraines, do NOT take this. Most doctors will say it is such a small amount that it will not matter. It does!

Tastes gross -- heavy mint flavor. Felt like it was burning my esophagus all the way down, then dry heaves once it hit my stomach. But it didn't make me actually vomit, and the burning sensation went away quickly.

Was prescribed Cambia as a backup to Maxalt, since triptans can be taken only 2 days/week. Unfortunately, it didn't work at all on my migraines, so I'll continue to look for something else as a backup.

Once I had bad nausea due to taking it on an empty stomach. Also causes bleeding problems.

Stops migraine immediately when taken early on when all others didn't. If I wait I have to take two doses. Easy to take - a powder in a small amount of water. It is an anti-inflammatory, not a hypnotic. My insurance only pays for 4 doses a month, less than I need, and paying for it without insurance is too expensive.

CAMBIA (DICLOFENAC POTASSIUM): Diclofenac is used to relieve pain from various conditions. This form of diclofenac is used to treat migraine headaches. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking your body's production of certain natural substances that cause inflammation. This effect helps to decrease swelling, pain, or fever. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

Placed on drug 8 mos previous had same symptoms. My husband called an ambulance we thought I was having a heart attack. My enzymes were slighty elevated and they kept me over night. Continued with fever aches and pains for about a week. Last week I had started this medication again for a UTI. I had developed an allergy also to cipro so they put me on Microbid again. Same reactions ocurred. Spent 4 days in hospital since my heart rate was so fast. Now that Im home I thought maybe this was from a reaction. couldnt believe what I was reading! Take this drug off the market!!!! It almost killed me.

Major dizziness (vertigo) ?pain in left hip Tiredness headaches

Prescribed after urine test showed "slight bladder infection" [no symptoms]. Extreme sore throat and lungs on first day. Breathing difficulty by third day due to increased lung and nasal congestion / sinus swelling. Painful nonproductive cough, raw throat, and hoarseness. Called physician re: insert instructions / warnings about "new infections" and potential fatality linked to lung infections. Physician Assistant's assistant advised symptoms unremarkable, probable cold, and not Microbid. By day four wracked with flu-like symptoms, headache, pain and tenderness inside mouth [gums & cheek], full-body aches, weakness, malaise, nausea, intensified lung, throat, nasal pain, congestion, impaired breathing, nonproductive cough making it difficult to sleep. Day 5 [yesterday] - no confidence disregard of Physician Assistant's assistant advise, stopped taking. No improvement by day 6. Not recommended for "slight bladder infection."

After 8 weeks of taking 10mg four times per day I became very depressed, having difficulty getting out of bed in the morning. I then noticed the hand/finger and jaw movements. I feel like I've had a nervous breakdown. I haven't been able to go to work and struggle through everyday tasks. I called my physician and have been off Reglan for almost a week. I've felt no improvement. Does anyone know how long it takes to get out of your system? I'm scared of the effect this is having on my life.

headaches, loss of appetite, short bouts of nausea, some anxiety and increased irritability

WAS ON FOR 4 YEARS AND DEVELOPED SEVERE SORES ON MY ARMS AND LEGS AND OF COURSE NO DOCTOR HAD A CLUE EVEN AFTER BIOPSIES. I JUST FIGURED IT OUT FOR MYSELF. THE SORES LEFT SCARS ALL OVER MY ARMS BUT THE SORES CLEARED UP AS SOON AS I STOPPED THE DRUG.UNFORTUNATELY THE SCARS DID NOT GO AWAY. I ALSO HAD DEPRESSION WITH IT AND RESTLESS LEGS. IT WAS ADMINISTERED IN VERY LOW DOSES AS IT WAS NOT PRESCRIBED FOR DEPRESSION BUT PAIN AND IT STILL LEFT LASTING EFFECTS EVEN AT 10 MG.

My five year old experienced a complete behavioral change. He exhibited trouble sleeping, getting along with other children, anger, aggression, agitation, inability to remember things, confusion, and hyperactivity. We had notes home from his teacher indicting an inability to integrate into the classroom. I also noticed that he was losing weight. The behavioral changes were a severe change from his pre-Flovent behavior. After taking him off Flovent for a day and half, I am beginning to see my loving son again.

Actually gave me some palpitations.
