BYDUREON (EXENATIDE SYNTHETIC): Exenatide is used either alone or with other medications, and with a proper diet and exercise program, to control high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. Controlling high blood sugar helps prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs, and sexual function problems. Proper control of diabetes may also lessen your risk of a heart attack or stroke. Exenatide is similar to a natural hormone in your body (incretin). It works by causing insulin release in response to high sugar (such as after a meal) and decreasing the amount of sugar your liver makes. Dry mouth, nausea, no appetite, hyperfocused(focus so hard on something I am surprised when I look up to see wow, I'm in my living room), severe anxiety with higher dosage, mild depression, panic attacks worsened(prescribed to help with that), and the chills about an hour after taking it were so bad I'd have to stop what I was doing til they subsided. Sweating was terrible, especially along with the chills. Like I had the flu all the time or something. The sexual side effects were terrible. Ejaculation before orgasm, like 30 seconds before. If I was even aroused. Libido had a significant decrease. I'm 23, I should want to sleep with everything that walks! Frustration has been my girlfriends middle name for the last few months. Mood swings, very irritable.

For about 1 month my ankles and joints hurt so bad I couldn't wear heels and it hurt to walk. I went to the rheumatologist and he started me on methotrexate 10mg/week and prednisone 10mg/day. I ended up getting off the prednisone after a year and instantly after I started the meds my joints felt great and I was able to be active again. Last year I was in numerous races, bike rides & ski events all because of the methotrexate. I'm very thankful for the increased knowledge the medical world has about RA. Hope someday they will find the true reason behind this disease.
It took about 6 weeks to get the full effect, but I will tell you, THIS IS A MIRACLE DRUG FOR ME! I finally feel like the old me again. I have tried Zoloft, Prozac, and Lexapro, but I never felt like the old me on those drugs. This is sure worth a try!

I only take this 1 time a day so far and may increase to 2x, but for now I am taking it slow. I can't take alot of meds & this seems to be agreeing with my system. I also noticed some sudden headaches.
I hope it works, still 4 days to go. Waiting for doctor to call back as perhaps there is another drug instead without these debilitating symptoms. I have suffered b. hominis symptoms on and off for 4 years, always put up with it. I will keep taking it if I have to, to be rid of the gut problems, now I know there is actually something causing it.
Took Lexapro for 2 days only and it has been 2 days since I stopped it. I am very tired, difficult for me to get up the stairs, palpitations, stomach ache, abundant periods, sinusitis, crying .
I've used it on and off for the last 10 years for mild asthmatic attacks and related bronchitis. The side-effects are a small price to pay to feel human again and get rid of the feeling of heavy bricks crushing your chest.
Unable to function,confusion,flu like symtoms. you now have rls in your intire body.This drug is not for rls. It did nothing to help only made rls symtoms worse,.I took the extended release.What a mistake.It takes a long time to leave you system.
