Side Effects for Butalbital, aspirin and caffeine (aspirin; butalbital; caffeine)

This med. realy helps take the edge off.

I tried taking this medication to help reduce the pain from having severe, ongoing migraines and it did absolutely nothing to help me. A placebo may have yielded a better effect.

This has been a lifesaver for me. If taken at the early signs of a migraine it usually stops it. If taken later it dulls the pain enough to let me sleep off the migraine. As I only have 1 or 2 migraines per month I've never had to worry about its addictive properties.

Weight gain. Once I tried to counteract it with exercise, the bleeding began. I was fine the first month after the injection, then I bled for the next two, then it threw my menstrual cycle off for the following month, during which I just continued to bleed without abatement. Finally, the doctor put me on 10 days of pill-based Depo, and two days afterward, the strange bleeding stopped and my regular period began. I haven't bled in 2 weeks, but I still have the bloating and weight gain. Occasionally, I find myself crying at the stupidest sentimentality, which is not my usual m.o.

Tightening of chest pain so severe I was so sick with it

I have had to deal with this reaction many times. I get yeast infections often, and the only thing that cures them is the diflucan/fluconazole. The mouth blisters and numbness are only on the roof of my mouth, and they are an annoying, but go away after a few days.

I have only taken it a couple times because each time i take it the medicine knocks me out and then I wake up in the middle of the night from the sound of a fly or a bug. It always seems like the bug lands on my face and/or in my eye. It is the weirdest thing. I even get up look around my room to see if there is a bug. It helps me not itch at night but then I feel like I have flies in my eye

So basically I've 'experimented' with Depo for a while. I'm 22.Got on for the first time at 16. Noticed immediately feeling much more lazy and mopey, but had no other unreasonable side effects worth mentioning for a few years.... When I was 19 I decided to get off it for a year, and see what happened.BOOM.During that year I lost weight, was horny as hell, happy, and perhaps the most productive and energetic that I've ever been in my entire short life. Worst part was that when my periods came back, they were quite irregular.I got back on after I turned 20, and the side effects have been much worse this time around. SEVERE depression and panic attacks came out of NOWHERE. 20lb weight gain. Break-outs. And left to my own devices, I could probably sleep 15 hours a day. It's awful.I just got my latest shot this week because my doctor told me it was 'too late' to start a pill pack... hmmm. Come to find out that's not true, so I plan on dropping the Depo, AND my doctor.Hope that helps someone.A lot of your stuff helped me.-Jessica

My daughter and I are both very athletic and are asthma sufferers. We've used Albuerol for several years and have used the Proventil for 3 months. I was thrilled when I found out the CFC inhalers were banned~I THOUGHT this would be a great change (I even signed a petitition to rid them!) NO WAY! I've had three attacks and the Proventil did nothing to help me. My daughter has also been struggling in track this year due to the ineffectiveness of this product. I'm glad to find a site that has other people who are having this same issue. I thought we were just getting worse with our asthma. We must find out a way to change this product!!! How many people must suffer before they will listen??

Dry mouth, nightmares, frequent urination

Discontinued after 1 day. Dry mouth, near nose bleeds and other symptoms after 3-4 weeks. Went to a really big hospital emergency room where they gave me some pills that helped. However, later they send me to psychiatry where they gave me zyprexa.

I will never take this drug again. There are to many lingering side effects and the risks are to high. I have now learned to research ANY drug that is prescribed to me. It is clear that even the doctors are not aware of the bad effects of this drug or they chose to ignore it!
