slight ringing or clicking in ears, fatigue, occasional heavy heartbeat at night, occasional headache
Taking twice a day by cutting pill in half. Seemed to need it at night as on waking felt bp high again. Tried other hbp meds past 5-6 years and stopped due to uncomfortable feelings, swelling ankles. Tried to control hbp with diet and good regime, deep breathing but eventually not working. Finally sought new med & tried this. Keeping bp lowered and except for fatigue mostly feel good and ankles not as swollen. Hope new exercise program will eliminate need. Dr. now wants to put me on Boniva for osteoporosis but reading side effects gives a real scare so will stay with exercise.

Thinking about cutting pills in half for a lower dose
Day 4, 4th pill January 2013 I felt like I was hit by a truck, unable to rise up on toes or back on heels, clearly neurological deficit, pain in all muscles but horrid from lumbar down. I realized I was poisoned. I shuffled, unable to lay on back due to calve pain but needed to elevate painful swollen legs, laid on my side but it was painful to sleep. I ruptured my biceps lowering a laundry basket 7 mos after I stopped the poison. I was in a wheelchair at 11 mos to 12 mos due to unable to walk over 30 ft due to pain but I couldn't push a wheelchair due to torn bicep unless on level ground and then it was painful. It took 1 yr to heal the bicep. I still use crutches and have daily pain and shuffle some times. I worked up until month 21 mos post taking 4 pills, just 4.
I used metro gel and on day 3 I started spotting bright red with clear discharge finished the 5 day treatment and still spotting and this is 8 days later what's going on ???
Have been on Lantus for a few years but wasn't doing enough to lower A1C so added Novolog at my biggest meal of day. It has certainly added to the fatigue I feel that Lantus has also done.
Have combined this with 12.5mg hctz for most of time on it. Recently stopped the diuretic as I thought neg side effects were from that. But maybe it is the telmisartan. For 7 months frequent coughing to point of gagging at times. Now, I notice my body...nerves... stinging after taking this drug.Extreme irritability because of this. Could this be from long term use? I may have to come off this drug....although it did seem, from articles and studies, to have best side effect profile of all the hypertension drugs.Don't know what I'll go on as I have to have it controlled.
Migraine headaches, chronic daily
Definitely helps lower sugar, curb appetite. I had no real side effects initially. Then month 6-7 I had really achy joints and genital itching worse than any yeast infection I have ever experienced. I had to stop taking to solely because of that. Itching has eased up and is almost gone. I wish I had been able to stay on it. It seemed fairly effective otherwise.

I did not experience any side effect/ only great results
Want to stop because of misery the side effects are causing but am fraid of atrial fibrillation coming back.
