I'm allergic to other rescue inhalers and this one has worked wonders for me.
Can't recommend the smell/taste -- has a petrochemical whiff about it, and I have the distinct impression that sucking on a diesel exhaust pipe wouldn't be much different -- but the stuff works, and any unpleasant sensory experience probably just helps guarantee you won't take it except as needed.
ALUPENT (METAPROTERENOL SULFATE): Metaproterenol is used to treat wheezing and shortness of breath from lung problems (e.g., asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchitis, emphysema). Controlling these symptoms can decrease time lost from work or school. Metaproterenol is a bronchodilator (beta-2 receptor agonist) that works by opening breathing passages to make breathing easier. I started taking this medicine Jan 2009 and right away I only noticed being nausea but thought that would go away. This feeling only got worse and I started feeling so very tired, cold,and depressed. In April I hit a low! I was hit with severe fatigue and nausea. I had the dry heaves, could hardly move, dizziness,heart palpitations, and heaviness of my arms and legs. I have always gone to the YMCA 3 times a week to excerise and had to stop that. I lost 19 pounds in 3 months and could not eat without getting very sick. I went to the doctor and he took me off the Diovan HCT but told me it would take 2 to 3 weeks to get this medicine out of my system. I am starting to feel better after 2 weeks but I still could care less if I eat anything and have to force myself to drink liquids.
Chronic back pain, pinched nerves

CAUTION reccommended. DO NOT TRY if you are allergic to aspirin, even if the doctor says it is OK.

I'm not allergic to anything I take a leave all the sudden my Face swells up I didn't know it was aleve for sure until I took it again and it happened again,$4000 later my visit to the emergency room I never take aleve again
I'm going to have my doctor take me off. I DO NOT want to be the way I was before, but I also need to have some kind of happy feelings. Yea, my moods are even. No, I don't enjoy life at all. I find no joy in activities I like to do. There just isn't anything there. OK. The other reason...main one for me though it may seem small to you...is the acne. I have NEVER in my life had acne like this. I have only ever had up to 7 zits at a time, all on my face. This is under my skin, itchy, painful, and it won't go away!!! It just gets worse. I can't be on a medication that messes up what I work so hard to keep pretty. That has always been one thing I've had control over, my body. Even if I can't keep the inside working right, the outside can look good. I can't loose that. Besides, I want to enjoy life if I actually have to be alive.
