Side Effects for Metolazone (metolazone)

after 3 weeks - dizziness, leg pain, Nausea, Rash on Leg, Low Blood Pressure

METOLAZONE (METOLAZONE): Metolazone is a "water pill" (diuretic) that increases the amount of urine you make, which causes your body to get rid of excess water. This drug is used to treat high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. This medication also reduces swelling/fluid retention (edema) which can result from conditions such as congestive heart failure or kidney disease. This can help to improve symptoms such as trouble breathing. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA) Download our Free Resource Guide:

Though I feel better taking this medication, after reading the other postings, I am a little concerned about my dosage. My rheumatologist has me taking 4000 mg a day (8 en-tabs). I never knew that was a high dosage, so maybe I should do some checking up. Anyone have any information?

I have headache, muscle ache, diarrhea, indigestion, abdominal pain, back pain, eyesight has changed sinus problems, joint pain, leg cramps..I have fibromyalgia also and my pain should be at a lower level instead of worse...I am stopping this on my own tomorrow! My doctor never even suggested diet first!

i feel better on it than not being on it, but the bulging fat that's noticeable when i wear my shirts is embarassing. At first it was hard for ejaculation, but eventually i was able to.

I am so pleased. Haven't needed the albuterol for 3 months. It has been 3 months since ceasing steroid too.

take this if you have had visual migraines like me.if you don't have a good reason for taking this, i would recommend a combination drug because this drug stops your period and it is freaky not knowing if you are pregnant or not....

a drug rep told my doctor to Rx it

Vyvanse has been a great medication for ME. It's helped refocus, become more organized, which has haloed my self esteem and made me happier mom/wife/person all around I feel.I'm just stuck because with the side effects I am experiencing they can be painful butat the same time does my positive outcome outweigh that?? Again this medication has helped ME. It may not be for everyone.
