Side Effects for Zantac (ranitidine hydrochloride)

Extreme dizziness, tired, still had digestive issues

Took 300mg at night for 3 weeks...still having issues and my dizziness is really bad

blurred eyesight, brain fog and depression

Only a slightly sore stomach from time to time. Take it regularly for several years now 75mg size twice a day.

NO side effects for me while on this drug since it's made of SUGAR!

My Dr. put me on Zantac 300MG's at bedtime for my acid reflux. I could have eaten sugar and done just as well! This medicine did nothing for me!

dizziness,headache,severe facial flushing,swollen tongue,shaking all over

Had breakthrough heartburn occasionally, so Doc switched me to aciphex. Noticed major thinning of my hair over a two year period taking this drug.

Dizzines and somnolence, blurred vision, Hard to focus (think) while reading.

works really well for the target problem (stomach acids) but really sucks the life out of an erection. I only take it as a last resort now - maybe 2x per month

I don't feel like wellbutrin has worked as well as I could hope, I still get periods of horrible depression, but I am not always consistant in taking it. Am s'posed to take it morning and afternoon and sometimes forget the afternoon dose- but the periods of depression don't correlate with the missed doses.

Stinging after long use but was told by Dr. that would be normal because eyes were healing. Have occasional sensation of something in my eyes but restane drops cure that. Blurred vision ifm I try to get on comp or watch tv right after.

I think this medication would be useful in taking at night or during an outbreak. I do not find this useful at any other time. I can't deal with such loss of concentration and fatigue when I have stuff to do during the day. I am a busy mom and can't afford lounging around not being able to focus. I am going to stop these and take Lysine.

The medication did what it was supposed to do. I was pain free! However, the side effects I experienced were just not worth it. I couldn't function, my husband basically carried me out of Kmart as I needed to get out of there. 1st dose I had no issues! 2nd dose mild dizziness, 3rd dose all down hill from there. I'm a nurse and I swear, if I didn't have medical knowledge, I would've called for an ambulance! Never again. Onto the next pain relief pill....

I took it in the morning but it made me tired. I'm only on 1/2 a pill because I'm so sensitive to these type of meds. Then I tried it before bed but thought it kept me up.I go go go all day doing things until I'm wiped out and in pain.I forget to take it at night so took it this morning and felt like I was drunk being obnoxious and crying easily.

I am addicted and can not come off without terrible withdraw. I still have not be able to endure the withdraw and am back on for now.

DO NOT TAKE THIS STUFF!!!I honestly thought my mouth was infected. I was always told that a bad taste and pain is a sign there is an infection. I went to the hospital because when I woke up one morning it was painful to pee. So I immediately thought the infection spread to my kidneys. It would have taken 5 days for the surgeon to see me again. After a lot of blood work to be sure there was no infection anywhere. I was fine and they are not sure why I felt so bad but they put down sepsis and gave me penicillin just in case. I wish I would have know about these side effects it would have saved me a lot of money because I would not have taken this.

Don't use unless you are under the very strict watch of your doctor!!! These are highly addictive- even more so than cigarettes- and more socially acceptable due to no second hand smoke etc...I am trying cold turkey quitting these 4mg lozenges

migraines less frequent. going to increase dose from 80mg to 120mg. tingling and pain in fingers and toes

Diarrhea, dizzy, nauseous, light headed, vaginal discharge
