PRILOSEC OTC (OMEPRAZOLE MAGNESIUM): Omeprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. This medication helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. You name it. I had them all. Rapid heart, Lump in throat, food not digesting, blurred vision, weakness, shaky, ect., ect, ect.. Too many terrible side effects! Took about a week to subside.
Irritability, extreme hosility if I went up on higher doses

I will advise every woman I know to stay away from this drug. I became a person I woudn't want to know.
Nausea in the evenings and/or after a regular or large meal. Also often get a bruise at the injection site. Diarrhea off and on, usually improves with one immodium pill. I can't chew sugarless gum anymore either. Greatly decreased appetite. All my life I woke up feeling starved but now I don't even feel hungry when I wake up.
This drug has been a miracle (I hate drugs and don't even take aspirin so this was a tough sell). I had to change my diet (trigger foods mostly elimitated) as well for full relief but I took it for 1.5 years mainly symptom free and decided to go off. 1 month off and my symptoms came back reminding me of the horror I experienced before I was diagnosed. Went back on Lialda and have not experienced a flare in over 2 yrs. All bloodwork, testing, etc comes back normal. Have never felt any side effects but elation and gratitude for giving me my life back.
Been on this drug since 21 December when I realized I was suffering (another)bout of major depression. Started at 100mg for 3 days then up to 200mgs. I have now been on 300mgs for about 4 or 5 days. Ruminating thoughts are awful - I have faith this will kick in soon. If I didn't, I don't know if I could handle all the side effects such as increased anxiety and insomnia. I hope I can update soon and say "Wow, it finally kicked in!" But as of today, I am still an emotional mess.
Significant erection improvement. My wife noticed a difference in my performance. Even though they say you do not last longer before climax, I could tell a difference. I could have gone a lot longer, but my wife was getting tired. Also, I halved the pill from 50 mg to 25 mg the second time and did not see a difference in the quality and the symptoms were not as bad with the decrease dosage.
Extensive nausea, extreme breast tenderness (first month and 1/2), cramping, backache, 'breakthrough bleeding' (hoakie BS term meaning: bleeding when u aren't supposed to be)TIA!!
