Night sweating, nausea, stomach pain, anxiety and felt like flu.
Terrible shortness of breath ,chills ,tingling in tongue and hands, headache and bad constipation. I stopped taking this medication two weeks ago and still have side effects.
Do not take this drug. It can have lasting effects that can impact your quality of life. It should be pulled off the market. Don't know how the makers can sleep at nite.

Hiatal hernia with acid reflux
Very bad shortness of breath, slow heart beat ,rash ,chills,problems with urination, tingling in tongue and hands ,headache and severe constipation. Stopped taking almost three weeks ago and am still having side effects.
Don't take this drug. It will leave you worse off. This should be pulled off the market. I can't belive with the long list of side effects (which can be lasting) that it is also prescribed for children. Parents think twice. THIS IS POISON.
First thing right off the bat was insomnia. 4 hours a night and couldn't sleep after that. I didn't get any relief from the heartburn either. Went up to 30mg. on day 13 only. Insomnia worsened and joint pain started. Stopped drug.

Lansoprazole (Prevacid) has helped tremendously with my gastritis and GERD symptoms.As for the occasional side effects, they are tolerable. But the nausea can become quite severe at times.And as for the Vitamin deficiency, I take multi vitamins every day and so far my blood work has checked out good!
I just recently switched to Prevacid from Pepcid because of all of the side effects and the difference is like night and day!I feel 100x better now that I am off the Pepcid and onto the Prevacid!No more gastric pain, and no more pain in my esophagus.I highly recommend the PPI!

Horrendous anxiety, heart palpitations, irregular heartbeat, feeling like I could cry at the drop of a hat, on edge, tired, waking extremely early and not getting back to sleep, intrusive thoughts
They did help with gerd, but I have been off them for 2 weeks now and although my side effects are still present, they are less. From what I've read, it takes a good 6 weeks to feel better - fingers crossed.

Extreme fatigue. Felt like a zombie all morning then could barely function in afternoon and evening. Took it 17 years ago for an ulcer and no problem.
I wish I had not started on this drug. I am stopping. My doctor said I could try Pepcid ac which I will probably do.
I've suffered from chronic fatigue for so long due to insomnia but after taking the drug, my fatigue got drastically reduced. So happy to have taken the drug.
At first it relieved burning sensation in throat; now I do not know if its effective. I have severe anxiety, panic attacks, depression, mood swings, weight gain- defeated purpose of gastric bypass. I get relief from a sip of Gaviscon! I was placed on Xanax.
I feel as though this medication is the cause of my emotional state. I have been on it since 1/2018-present. I just need some peace. I read long term use is not good. I do not take any other medications, just vitamins.

This drug is hell on Earth. There's no way this should be legal. I was prescribed this in the ER after having severe heart pains. I am already diagnosed with PTSD and Major Depression, and the doctors did not tell me about any of this horrific side effects. First day was fine. Second day, I was trembling like a BOMB, nauseas and could barely take WATER. Threw up stomach acid since I couldn't stomach anything. I eventually had to go BACK to the ER, where they told me yes it's the side effects of the drug. DON'T. TAKE. THIS. I ended up being prescribed XANAX because of this, and I've never ever needed it. When i first started the shot i was on my period 24.7 But alot of the ppl i know that have gotten this shot had the same side effects. My stomach hurts every now and then.Nausa, mood swings. Thats about it. I pee a lot but i also drink a ton.

None from Ortho Tri-Cyclen, I was on it for a number of years. Insurance switched me to Tri Sprintec, and I was fine, didn't notice any side effects.
I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks, then a D&E. After two months with no period, dr. prescribed this, once a day at bedtime. Three days after stopping drug, I had some light blood, but it does n't seem like a regular period.
I just came upon this website in the past few days and by chance, I was searching for things about OCD. For the past 6 years, since October 2001, I have been thinking irrational thoughts that I don't want to have. These thoughts were worse when I was bored. When I wasn't bored, they kind of went away, but were still there a little. But since June 2007, they picked up a lot again because my schedule has changed to allow me to have more free time. But now everything adds up; I started taking Zyrtec in October 2001 and this may be what is causing these weird thoughts. I am still on it, but I have to get off it. However, I'll have bad allergies, but its better to live with allergies than these thoughts.
This is an excellent drug. I was in a car accident, and this dose is the weakest, and it really helped. It was great. The only thing is, is that it makes you feel extremely euphoric. You feel great. It is seriously no joke when people say it. I have a hard time understanding how it is even legal. Please be careful when taking this drug. It should NOT be given to anyone who exhibits addictive tendencies.
