I take 20mg twice a day for a total of 40mg per 24 hour period. I cannot take nexium, protonix, prilosec or even maalox due to side effects from those meds. I have switched stomach aches for worse symptoms. I cannot convince my doctor to test for intestinal parasites in spite of the fact I eat or ate raw fish at least 4 times a week in sushi and sashimi.
PEPCID RPD (FAMOTIDINE): Famotidine is used to treat ulcers of the stomach and intestines and to prevent intestinal ulcers from coming back after they have healed. This medication is also used to treat certain stomach and throat (esophagus) problems (such as erosive esophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease-GERD, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as cough that doesn't go away, stomach pain, heartburn, and difficulty swallowing. Famotidine belongs to a class of drugs known as H2 blockers. This medication is also available without a prescription. It is used to prevent and treat heartburn and other symptoms caused by too much acid in the stomach (acid indigestion). After 2nd dosage of 35 mg ( once a week)had excrutiating pain in mouth of stomach not letting me sleep. Also the sencond day after dosage had sharp intervnal chest pain. Wll stop taking actonel. Please do not take Boniva the side effects are worst than Actonel!!!
Would never allow this to be administered again. Worst feeling ever in my life.
This drug works very well for me. Before getting on Ultram, I had to live with almost unbearable pain. I couldn't even sleep, because I was unable to get comfortable. I spent countless nights pacing around the house. The Ultram has worked wonders for me. It doesn't take the pain completely away, but lessens it to a tolerable level. Admittedly, sometimes I do take more than the prescribed dose at once, but never more than the daily allowance. As a nurse, I do see many patients who don't like this drug because it is not a narcotic and does not have the typical euphoria associated with those drugs. But for those with real pain, yes it really does help.
i took this for 4 times a day for 10 days 250mg didnt work at all still have mrsa
Slight burning a few hours after the first day, which made me think the stuff was working. Also the skin around the area because extreemly rough and dry.

I do not know if this was the cause but gained 70 lb in 15 years. Now with bio-identical creams I've lost 15 lb in 2 mos.Five of those lb came off during a bout with extreme carsickness on an 18 hr trip.
I was on on Reglan for a year or so. It was several years ago. I don't remember. I had been listless, without inspiration, anxious, feeling desperate. Difficult to function. I never dawned on me that it was the reglan. My GP, GI, Docs --even a couple of shrinks denied it was the reglan. I went through several antidepressants, benzos, alcohol (bad choice, I know). 3 (?) years later I struggle with alcohol and benzo dependence. I want to be my old creative, motivated self, can't afford rehab. this crap turned mt life upside down and the docs all denied it.
I've tried Cymbalta and Effexor and did not tolerate the side effects of those drugs. I have not had any of those side effects with Fetzima and have noticed a huge improvement in my depression. I have increased energy, no sexual side effects as with Effexor and Cymbalta, and slight weight loss so far. This has worked for me.
