CYTOTEC (MISOPROSTOL): This medication is used to prevent stomach ulcers while you take NSAIDs (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen), especially if you are at risk for developing ulcers or have a history of ulcers. Misoprostol helps to decrease your risk of serious ulcer complications such as bleeding. This medication protects your stomach lining by lowering the amount of acid that comes in contact with it. so far, tingly, depressed, upset stomach, nasty taste in the mouth, no appetite. drank some last night and while it didnt make me sick, ive noticed that today my symptoms are actually worse then they were when i started taking this crap
A little bit of an aftertaste - dry mouth - but otherwise no side effects at all!
Why is this even given to women? This is a medicine from hell itself. I would never take this again. What was supposed to be for mild symptoms turned into severe very quickly. I will not be taking it for another 4 nights you couldn't pay me enough money!
It has been great but its stopped working. I've been taking 60mg for 3 years and now the depression has returned big time. I've already become tolerant to effexor, prozac, and wellbutrin made me angry, so don't know what to try next.
Has helped immensely. Pressure is normal. I take it in the evening before bedtime.

Surgery involved opening up the top of the foot, trimming some bones, and installing some pins and screws. Mepergan really helped - I had very little pain while I was taking it. The Rx said 1 or 2 pills every 4-6 hours - I took about 6 the first day and 4 each of the next two - I am a large man and this more than sufficed. After three days the pain had subsided to the point where I decided that enduring the minor pain remaining was better than putting up with the side effects.
I am still currently taking this medication. I Had increased depression and was placed on this medication as an second antidepressant. I had maxed out Celexa and still had depression. I am still taking Wellbutrin XL which I was placed on for severe depression 12 years ago. As soon as I started taking the Effexor I noticed a complete loss of interest in sex. The combination of medication initially was working and I will take that any day over wanting sex. In the last week I have noticed my fingers on left hand feeling like they are asleep. The sensation will increase if I am using my hand. In the last month I have noticed my bipolar signs and symptoms have increased and have become rapid cycling. I am completely miserable in my current living and work environment, so I thought this factor was the reason for my nasty mood swings. But now I'm not to sure the Effexor is working. As any one else experienced tingling in their fingers?
I began to feel the effects of slow relaxation within 20 minutes of putting the tab under my tongue, with a deeper feeling of general slowness of movement inside of an hour, but by then I was buckled into my seat on the plane. I was flying to another country with 12 hours in the air and took one every 4-5 hours to prevent severe flying-induced panic attacks. I slept most of the time on the flights, which I cannot normally do. I did not really experience any grogginess or lasting effects except feeling relaxed and unstressed. Even while navigating in airports between flights I did not feel disoriented or confused or sleepy, just relaxed. The only problem I had is when I took 2 dissolve tabs within 3 hours of each other b/c I was concerned over a trans-pacific flight. After taking the 2 tabs during that time fream I didn't fall asleep on the plane so much as I was most-likely unconscious for at least 2-3 hours during the flight.
