Thank God for this site!I have a Dr. Apt. tomorrow and I want off of this med. (I must admit the withdraw terrifies me)I have so many of the symptoms listed I can't believe it. I'd told my Dr. about many of them. He just writes and smirks. He thinks I read too much. Well I told him these things before I read this. I just spent a week in a Psych. ward. The Dr. there upped my dose of effexor xr. In the week and a half that I've been home I've thought about dying more than ever. I just thought all of the symptoms were "in my head" or I had MS or something. Now I can relax a little. It's the med. that's supposed to be making me feel better that's making me feel worse!

Continuing fatigue; I wake up yawning. I feel groggy and stupid; I can't seem to get simple things done that must be done. Inability to reach orgasm, very frustrating.

weight gain, acne, low low sex drive

I've been taking 25 mg with 50 mg Cozaar (losartan)and 40 mg simvastatin at nightime for nearly 5 years. My bp and cholesterol are controlled. However, I could never determine the cause of my tinnitus, cramping, and dysfunction. With so many similar comments from others, I suspect atenolol to be at least contributory. My new doctor has taken me off both atenolol and losartan and put me on captopril.

Post nasal drip, seasonal allergies

Poison, poison, poison! Ppl react so differently to the mechanism - it should be monitored intensively! Didn‘t happen in my case. And I never took any drugs because I believed in natural healing. Biggest mistake in my life, would rather take any other pain than this.

The first time it was for minor surgery. I got what's called the Versed crazies. The next time colon/endoscopy, I was assured I would be fine but had to give me extra Demerol during one of the procedures for the crazies again. The next time for angioplasty I stated I didn't want the drug, they ordered an anesthestsist, but didn't get one. I was given versed/fentanyl it worked, although I remember acting out a bit again. The next and last time,I thought I would be okay. This was the most horrific experience ever. I had this same procedure before, for a venous intervention through the internal jugular vein. The nurse was nasty said horrible things to me, made fun of me and yelled at me, during the procedure.I felt abused. I remember looking out from under the sheet, not being able to move or talk. It felt like rape! It felt like being buried alive.I cried for weeks. After I had overwhelming emotions that caused me to shake out of the blue with no warning. This is very uncharacteristic of

still deciding if it's really worth it???

day 5 ended up being taken by ambulance from work. Chest pains, dizziness and nausea. My blood pressure was 158/100 which is way high for me. Asked ER docs if it could be related. After 5 hours in ER, released and seeing GP tomorrow. oh, and lost feeling in hands and toes (pins and needles)
