Side Effects for Nasacort (triamcinolone acetonide)

NASACORT (TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE): This medication is used in a variety of conditions such as allergic disorders, arthritis, blood diseases, breathing problems, certain cancers, eye diseases, intestinal disorders, collagen and skin diseases. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of triamcinolone, especially if it is to be injected near your spine (epidural). Rare but serious side effects may occur with epidural use. Triamcinolone acetonide is known as a corticosteroid hormone (glucocorticoid). It works by decreasing your body's immune response to these diseases and reduces symptoms such as swelling. It took a while to realize, because it came on slowly, and I had just started babysitting my grandson, so I blamed that. But I had increasing muscle and joint paint, muscle weakness, weight gain, extreme fatigue, lethargy. It hurt to lift my grandson and if I carried him a short ways I was breathless and heart pounding. I woke up one morning after over a year of taking it and thought " I wonder if it's the prilosec!?" I stopped and was better in 2-3 days!

severe concussion and broken bone

I experienced unexplained weight gain, food sensitivities, dizziness, muscle cramping, mild depression and lack of energy.

No symptoms the first 24 hours. Day two 101 temp chills aches pains. Woke up in middle of night with fever, dizziness. Went to bathroom and on way back to bed passed out in hall. Woke up in pool of blood from cracked skull. Was still on crutches 6 months out from 9th hip replacement surgery. Did not know where I was or where crutches were. Slipped in puddle of blood when trying to get up (was by myself). Finally made it to bed and passed out again. Woke up with blood all over my PJ top, hallway looked like crime scene with smeared blood on tile floor, bloody palm prints on walls.I am a very active 58-year-old who has been swimming, dancing, running, cycling, Frisbee playing all my life. I still don't have my energy level back at 6 months post Reclast. Was not told to drink water before infusion nor was I asked if I had had dental implant, which I had done 4 months before this infusion. Now my jaw on the side of the implant has been bothering me for some time. More money needed

Excruciating stomach cramps, nausea, insomnia.

The first week my acne cleared up and i was only taking it every other day and i tried everything before but i want to stop now the joint pain is really bad i feel like i'm 80 and i want to avoid anymore damage.

This pill really sucked. I felt

I was on Mircette when i got married, then got off to have a child 2 years later. Took 2 months of being off of them and got pregnant. Got back on them 1 year ago, started off on Mircette, then I was switched to Azzurette. I HATE THESE PILLS!!!! They made me a horrible person. I was to the point of I could rip into to someone and never look back! It also got to the point of people not wanting to be around me AT ALL! That's not me! These pills made me a totally different person. The last month of taking them I bled for almost 3 weeks, the 2nd day of stopping them the bleeding stopped. I would wake up in the mornings my hands and feet were so swollen it was awful. My suggestions is if you are on these, GET OFF!!! I don't know why they are still in production. The side effects are awful and really scary! If you think you were going crazy...YOU ARE NOT ALONE! IT'S THE PILLS GET OF THEM IMMEDIATLY!!!!!!

Sweating, throwing up, stomach pain, can't sleep missed 2 days of work

Depression, anxiety, alternating long and short periods. I will have a short period (2-3 days) one month and a long period (8-12 days) the following month. My PMS seems to be getting worse the longer I'm on it. The back pain is severe. I have a history of Post Partum Depression and have recently started to have similar feelings (even though my kids are 18 months and older), which I can see that other women are having similar depression problems. The fatige is horrible. I never feel rested. Again, I never attributed the fatigue to the Loestrin until I read some of the other comments here.
