Beconase aq (beclomethasone dipropionate monohydrate) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Beconase aq (beclomethasone dipropionate monohydrate)

Have been treated for high eye pressure for over 30 years. Both my allergist and eye doctor were aware of this. I had looked at the side effects of this when I first started using and hever noticed any side effects for high eye pressure. Pressure went very high after cataract surgery, they then discovered glaucoma. Several months later I looked at the precautions section for Beconase AQ and noticed that this should not be used if you have uncontrolled Glaucoma. So I was advised to stop... 5 years later and numerous eye surgeries later, my Glaucoma is still not under control, and I have not used Beconase AQ since. I am now wondering if my extended use of Beconase AQ contributed to the uncontrolled Glaucoma. REMEMBER TO READ THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS YOURSELF, DO NOT RELY ON YOUR DOCTOR...

After taking it for a few weeks, my nasal congestion cleared up however I started feeling more and more depressed. When my research revealed that beclomethasone can aggravate pre-existing psychiatric conditions,I realized the reason for my sadness.I stopped using it and, within two days, I was okay again.

nasal congestion and runny nose

My first side effect from Beconase was grogginess, which passed by the third day. I also experienced severe insomnia while on this medication beginning on the second or third day. By the fourth or fifth day, my knees had begun to ache. After seven or eight days, the pain in my shoulders, arms, hips, groin, and legs was so severe that 50 mg. of Tramadol did not stop it. I have discontinued the Beconase. It isn't worth it. I'll take Sudafed with my Claritin. Not only will I not suffer the above side effects, but I won't have to worry about the side effects of steroids, either.

BECONASE AQ (BECLOMETHASONE DIPROPIONATE MONOHYDRATE): Beclomethasone is used to prevent and treat seasonal and year-round allergy symptoms (such as stuffy/runny nose, itchy eyes/nose/throat, sneezing). It may be used to treat symptoms (such as stuffy/runny nose) caused by other triggers (such as cigarette smoke, perfumes). It is also used to prevent the return of growths in the nose (nasal polyps) after removal by surgery. Beclomethasone belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids. It works by reducing swelling (inflammation) in the nasal passages. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

My 6yr old daughter had problems last spring with vaginal irritation and discomfort when urinating. We took her to the pediatrician 3 x's and a Gyn and they came up with nothing. This spring, same problem - went online and found this site stating some females had similar problems w/Claritan. I called Pfizer this morning and they told me that skin irritation is side effect of med(which they included her problem as part of that side effect). Incidentally, 4 yr old son had strange rash on face after starting Zyrtec, maybe is related to med as well?

2 BEST DRUG EVER!!!!!! It makes you a little sleepy but its sooo worth it, feeling GREAT!!!!

I had to start this drug at 10 mg and now have worked my way up to 30 mg. I have been on it for the past 5 weeks and only this week have my panic attacks started to subside. I worked with a psychiatrist to get through the rough period. Took a small dose of Ativan every 8 hours, 3 times a day, to help with the increased anxiety that this drug seems to cause. Both my GP and psychiatrist encouraged me to stick with the Celexa because they believed it would eventually help with the severe panic attacks that I was having. I am hoping that once I hit 40 mg that I will be panic free. Everyone should work closely with your docs in the beginning of taking this drug...it does seem to work but can cause increased anxiety and panic in the beginning. Wishing you all good health...

I think this will work. I used to use the cream version and everytime i did it would burn sooo bad i couldnt sit still i had to do something to take my mind off it. I think mild burning, however, from any medicine for yeast infections is perfectly normal. But as i was saying, the monistat 3 ovule is good for me, no itching, burning at all, and it is a lot more comfortable to insert than using the cream tubes.

It's helped me with social anxiety, not quite getting full benefits I don't think. only been on it for 2 1/2 weeks and just moved to 300mg. hope it goes well.

I was on Paxil 20mg for many years with great benefit. I was less shy and depression lifted. When the dose was increased to 40mg I started sweating and couldn't get it to go away again; even by going back to 20mg. Had to stop taking it.

My primary doctor and cardiologist dismiss my complaints. It's not fun feeling unwell all the time. But I'm afraid to stop because I don't want a stroke

I had all the symptoms of hypothyroidism but could not get any doctor to diagnose me for several months. I felt so bad that I spent my days lying around. It wore me out to was dishes. Finally found a doctor online who knew alot about thyroid and did not dismiss thyroid problems because of normal blood work. She knew just by talking with me and examination that I was hypothyroid. I know that GOD led me to her. Don't be satisfied until you get the help you need.

I have some uncomfortable side effects (the jaw clenching is the worst!) but, I feel a lot better on this. I was suprised I felt a difference in my mood right away.

When I first starting taking Paxil, I would start sweating for no reason. Now everything is fine and I don't feel so stressed all the time. I have taken Paxil for awhile now and it helps me deal with having to live with chronic pain.
