Natazia (dienogest; estradiol valerate) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Natazia (dienogest; estradiol valerate)

Seems to be lower in estrogen than I need so my gym added a vivelle patch too. My skin is greatly improved, no more breakouts on face, back, neck, or chest!!!

NATAZIA (DIENOGEST; ESTRADIOL VALERATE): This combination hormone medication is used to prevent pregnancy. It contains 2 hormones: dienogest (a progestin) and estradiol valerate (an estrogen). It works mainly by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) during your menstrual cycle. It also makes vaginal fluid thicker to help prevent sperm from reaching an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg. Besides preventing pregnancy, birth control pills may make your periods more regular, decrease blood loss and painful periods, decrease your risk of ovarian cysts, and also treat acne. Using this medication does not protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia). (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

Has stopped progession of the IIH symptoms. Will be doubling dose to decrease intracranial pressure.

This has been a miracle drug for me. I can live with a cat now, tolerate dust, mold, pollens, etc. Zyrtec is the only allergy med that worked for me. Improved my allergic conjunctivitis & rash as well.

It works well. I have been taking 100 mg for over 5 months and have very little side effects other than mentioned. It works well.

I have been using Symbicort for the past several months, and even though it has helped my breathing much better than Advair, Spiriva, Foradil, Asmanex, and various rescue inhalers, it seems to have made my lungs very dependent on the medicine. My lungs feel different than normal, like my lungs are feeling dried out and sticky if that is possible, all at the same time. It seems they are becoming lazy, like now they cannot miss a dose. Even with the strange lung feelings that I have, I still will take it because is absolutely works better than all the other products that I have tried.

Was prescribed 200 mg. for l4 days and started bleeding heavily on day 7 - stopped taking it on day 12 as I could not stand the heavy bleeding. Dr. said to double the dose to stop the bleeding. I'm so confused, I thought it was supposed to MAKE you bleed. I don't think I can take another round of this...

At first, I appeared to have no side effects...but after a few days, I had very Bad stomach issues, and a yeast infection...to make it worse, my abcess was not even gone after taking 7 days/3x day dosage! So, I'm on it again and side effects are getting even worse. I would not recommend.

What my side effects on it were: Decreased sex drive (almost to a halt), insomnia & sleep paralysis, anxiety, memory issues, difficulty concentrating, palpitations, hair is falling out & springs then snaps, teeth ache & chipping, & nails fold & are ridged all down beds- (read that subutex inhibits absorption of calcium), chronically fatigued, my husband says I don't show emotion & my friends say my "joy is gone". I was put on every opiate I can think of in 2001post car accident. After liking them way to much & dosages being upped & upped I was switched to methadone. That was upped eventually to 335mg per day. Bad things came about from the methadone & I thought subutex was the answer. I began at 8mg suboxone- was eventually switched to subutex & worked up to 32mg subQ. The side effects did not come on at once. Insomnia & low sex drive were the beginning. I am at home detoxing now- jumped off at .33mg per day. I have made it into day 18.. maybe that's because I had taken it for 8 yrs & methadone 2 prior to that. My neurotransmitters have alot of self correcting to do. Symptoms of detox are coming and going now & the worst is over. The 1st 7 days were physically tough for me. The next 7 days the emotional detox started & physical symptoms were lighter. Now I'm trying to regain strength & say goodbye to the off & on physical symptoms & I'm starting to see a bit more sleep. Did it help my pain? -yes.

I didn't want to get on the hydrocodone rollercoaster (addiction) so I tried tramadol. I find it (for me to be less addictive) with very few side effects although I am not a person with addictive tendencies. Highly recommended to aid in pain reduction, but for some types of pain, it is combined with other drugs for better pain relief (such as arthritis).

No side effects. Cured everything.

Turns me more into a vulcan...not a good thing, though. Thoughts are still a little racy and I have long discussions about esoteric subjects with the girlfriend (like math, which is not good for things like programming which require more philosophical and out-of-the-box thinking).Paranoid thoughts can be better countered through technical speak and empirical analysis with a psychiatrist. This drug doesn't help me much with that.
