Mircette (desogestrel; ethinyl estradiol; ethinyl estradiol) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Mircette (desogestrel; ethinyl estradiol; ethinyl estradiol)

MIRCETTE (DESOGESTREL; ETHINYL ESTRADIOL; ETHINYL ESTRADIOL): This combination hormone medication is used to prevent pregnancy. It contains 2 hormones: a progestin (desogestrel) and an estrogen (ethinyl estradiol). It works mainly by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) during your menstrual cycle. It also makes vaginal fluid thicker to help prevent sperm from reaching an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg. If a fertilized egg does not attach to the uterus, it passes out of the body. Besides preventing pregnancy, birth control pills may make your periods more regular, decrease blood loss and painful periods, decrease your risk of ovarian cysts, and also treat acne. Using this medication does not protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia). (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

I'd rather go blind than ever be without this medication again. It has given me my life back when I had just about given up hope of ever being well again. Thanks to this wonderful drug, my kids will look back on their childhood and remember all the cool things mom did with them instead of all the things they had to do for mom because mom couldn't get off the couch anymore.

Awful medication, causes cough, extreme tiredness, bone marrow suppression, trombocytopenia, neutropenia, anxiety, mood swings, anxiety attacks, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, body ache, awful!!!!

Terrible gi symptoms, gas, bloating, muscle aches and not feeling like doing anything. I haven't gained weight in a year, but my body fat percetage jumped 5 percent

I haven't experienced anything like moody, cramps, or depression yet. But as of right now, I am sleeping alot like 9-10 hours which is not normal for me. I usually get 6-8 hours of sleep and I feel fine.

Tendonitis all over my body, anxiety, insomnia, extreme fatigue, tinnitus, back pain, overall muscle aches, preipheral nerve pain. I took the drug over a year ago and the symptoms are still worsenning. The real irony is that I didn't have a bacterial infection after all so all this suffering is for nothing. Doctors are completely ignorant of the dangers of these drugs.

Exhaustion, weight gain, some depression and slight rise in blood pressure. Feeling bloated and some difficulty breathing.

Usually some minor headaches but last time I took Cialis I had serious leg and back pain the next night. It was awful, the pain was so bad I could not sleep at all. There was no postion to lay to relieve the pain. I think I am done with taking Cialis; the pain is not worth it.

These are all among the SEVERE side effects of Triphasil. I do not regard these side effects as a coincidence because right before using Triphasil I barely use to experience headaches, a quick nap would energize me for the next few hours and I use to be able to focus on the task at hand. Three and a half months ago I was on Trigestrel and I did not experience any side effects. I only started using Triphasil because the nurse did not have any Trigestrel stock. I personally would not recommend Triphasil to anyone, but our bodies are all different and respond to medication differently, so you wont know unless you try it for yourself.

NO SIDE EFFECTS FOR ME. IT SEEMED TO EASE PAIN. A DAY BEFORE MY NEXT DOSE IS DUE I CAN TELL IT'S TIME FOR IT AGAIN.

I love it, truly. I use the patch to control my period which is naturally heavy and painful, to help with CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome), and clears up my acne (face & back).I think it works so agreeably with me because I don't smoke, I have a healthy lifestyle/ BMI, and I'm within the appropriate age range for the patch. All so sometimes birth controls don't work for you just because. It is okay to find your fit and have an open honest conversation with your Obgyn.
