None. Better than plan b. I weigh 180 pounds and am tall. I was told plan b only works on women under 165. I had no side effects. Plan B have me am ocular migraine and ella didn't even give me cramps.
Extreme exhaustion, dizziness, nausea. Cramps
While I took it 107 hours late (the earlier the better, not sure if I had ovulated or not this month) I felt cramps a few hours later, which I think is a good sign. Made me extremely extremely exhausted though. DO NOT take if you have work/plans this day.Also, none of my local pharmacies carried it so I needed to purchase it from ella-kwikmed.com
Ella worked with mild side effects. After being sexually active during my peak fertile time, I took ella. I did not use any other method of birth control. I took anti-nausea pills (Meclizine, 50mg) along with ella. Side effects were mild. A bit of nausea the night I took it, followed by some upset stomach and dizziness the following day. My period came and was normal, maybe a bit early.
I would recommend ella for anyone uncertain about their birth control method. Upon taking it, I would recommend staying in for the night and having healthy, light meals. It's way better than the abortion pill taken later!
ELLA (ULIPRISTAL ACETATE): Ulipristal is used by women to prevent pregnancy after birth control failure (such as a broken condom) or unprotected sex. This medication is an emergency contraceptive and should not be used as a regular form of birth control. It works mainly by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) during your menstrual cycle. It also makes vaginal fluid thicker to help prevent sperm from reaching an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg. Using this medication will not stop an existing pregnancy or protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia). This medication may not work well in women who are overweight (for example, body mass index greater than 30) or if you are using certain other medications. This effect can result in pregnancy. I didn't feel burning and itching when using this product. When I would use the restroom the medicine would come down in chunks. When I first applied the prefilled cream it was creamy but for every restroom break I will feel the chunks come out. Is this normal?
I was warned that it MIGHT CAUSE me DIZZINESS. There are no warnings for depression, sadness, anxiety, nervousness & weight gain from my doctor nor from the pharmacy. From now on I'm coming here for any of the medications the doctor gives me. I have not ever been this sad in my life - I didn't want to die, but I didn't want to live either. Nothing mattered to me - I was just sad. Such medications should not be permitted.

With a new doctor's help, I switched to Armour Thyroid (a T4 and T3 combination medication). I was told it is critical to treat me based on symptoms and not hold fast only to test results. Since I started on Armour I feel like my depression has lifted and I want to live again. I am not sure if I had negative side-effects on Synthroid after two years, but I know that my mood and energy levels got worse over time. It may be dosage related. There are many doctors out there, though, that stick too much to test results rather than how you feel. The Thyroid is such a powerful organ and regulates so many things in your body such that when it doesn't work properly, you can get depressed, gain weight, have more pain, increased appetite, etc., etc. If you don't like your doctor or how you feel on Synthroid, see someone else for another opinion. If you have to see 10 doctors until someone takes you seriously, then do so. You should not have to suffer.
