I just know if you have a high fat or liquor 4 hours before taking you are going to have a bad night. It isn't worth the itch. It sure keeps me on the straight path in the evenings.

Sore throat, cough, felt like I had a chest infection, terrible pain in my ears.

I've tried taking it with food but it really doesn't help. Also, I discovered that even after taking the drug and waiting 3 or more hours, coffee is a no-go and makes the aforementioned issues so much worse. Bummer for me because I love coffee.

First week on 5mg not too bad, no nausea, slight flushing, then increased to 10mg. Oh no, would not recommend this drug to anyone. Acute insomnia, burning all over, crushing headache and worsening agitation and depression. Am slowly titrating off which is not a pleasant experience.

The medication worked great for my arthritic thumb joints, but the itiching and hives was not worth it.

I've been on 150 mg xl for about 10 days. For the first 5 days I actually thought I was feeling better. But the past 3 days I have been getting more depressed and anxious. I'm not sure whether it is the drug or the current stress in my life. I would think 150 mg would be too little to affect one way or the other.

Constipation and urniary tract problems.
