ROCEPHIN (CEFTRIAXONE SODIUM): Ceftriaxone is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This drug is not recommended for use in newborns with high blood bilirubin levels and premature infants due to increased risk of side effects. Very painful leg and arm cramps,difficulty walking. Weird and vivid dreams. Little or no sex drive.
First dose in morning causes nausea and hypersalivation with feeling that I will vomit. Overtearing of dry eye as well. As day goes on nausea is reduced but hypersalivation continues. Will give it time.
Facial acne. Middle of the night erections.
Will stop taking immediately. The anxiety affects are worse than my congestion. Never again! Thank goodness I found this website as it made me calmer knowing others have experienced the same symptoms. Took another pill today not knowing this was probably the cause of last nights episode but now will cease taking this awful medication.
Doubtful it is working but will persevere and see if things improve.
I have had a lot of questions about the drug.the doctors just tell me I have to take it.after my surgery the surgeron stated to be sure to usethe patch instead of the pill, it is safer. the doctor that I. used, is a teacher at Oklahoma state University and has taught this proceder for 25 years.
I have recently sought counseling due to anxiety and depression and have been put temporarily on an anti-depressant. I decided to read up on desogen's side effects because that is the only other medication I take. Anway, after reading all of these comments, I was so surprised at how many of you are feeling what I have been feeling for the past two years. I have been dealing with with depression, no sex drive, extreme mood swings, and most recently anxiety. I am definately planning on going off of this pill and trying something else. This might be the root of all of my problems.
