I really have a hard time understanding doctors. Why in the world would my doctor give me a blood pressure lowrong medicine for anxiety. No help at for anxiety, in fact made it worse. Now all i need is trouble with blood pressure that i've never had. Told her it was no help and she still decided to keep me on it.After reading these reviews, i just flushed them all down the toilet and done with them.
This drug is the devil I can't sleep and when I do sleep and wake up I have the worst anxiety.From shaking to feeling like my heart is going to pop out my chest.I hate I ever started taking it and it does nothing for my blood pressure. Someone please tell me how I can get off this stuff because if I just stop I'm sure it will be bad..PLEASE HELLLP!!!!
Dizziness going from a laying or seated position to standing up, severe weakness, brain fog, can't think clearly or concentrate to get my words out properly, poor word recall, slurred speech at times, sensitivity to light and sound but no headache, can't look at screens-tv/phone for long, nausea, vomiting, increased anxiety/agitation
I was under the impression that my care provider was prescribing me Klonopin and not Clonidine for anxiety. I had all the symptoms I mentioned above occur within 20mins of me taking this drug at bedtime. I only took it once and promptly went to the ER. My blood pressure kept rising and dropping, hence the dizziness. They said that Clonidine is a very potent drug which is why it isn't used as much these days. If it were not for my young age (20's), I could have died from this mistake. The ER told me that if I had been middle aged or elderly I probably would've needed to be monitored/hospitalized because I could have had a stroke.

I have been off clonidine now for 3 months but I feel this medication has totally messed with my hormones. I now have anxiety and was put on Zoloft. This is a terrible medicine.
Headaches, nausea, chest pain, BP would spike a lot!Dizziness, blurred vision.This medication is horrible do not take it!! My BP before clonodine on high end was 130/90.It would spike too 160/110 in afternoon then next day, in Am would be 110/78. Very big swings!!!
Start taking Lisinopril 20 mg for high blood pressure added 0.1 clonidine twice a day increased to 0.1 three times a day made my blood pressure go down drastically however in a few hours it's spiked terrible drug caused dry mouth constipation body aches numbness in lips hands and feet anxiety and insomnia loss of appetite
Be careful with this drug it should be removed from the market. be careful coming off if you are taking it more than a month set up a weaning off schedule of the course of 2 weeks
Given for anxiety. Shakiness, chest pains, blurred vision, feeling out of it, worse anxiety, ringing in ears, headache
It does help if you stick to a healthy plan.
Swelling in feet then ankles then calf then knee now all together also face it's 8 pounds of fluid. Going to remove patch today. It lowers blood pressure but at what cost shortness of breath and swollen body no thank you.

The doctors lie to people about this medicine. It is extremely dangerous. I've been trying to get off of it for 18 months of the 2 years I've been on it. My BP was not even that bad when I started on it. The Cardiologist fought with his head nurse because she wanted to ween me off, he refused and pretty much threatened her job. He wanted a reason for me to keep coming to him. Get off this garbage at all costs, it will eventually destroy you!!! I am literally so scared of dying from this drug after 2 years that I am taking myself off of it....very....very slowly. I have been hospitalized multiple times from just being on it, I have been hospitalized multiple times from trying to taper off.
Went from 0.2 mg gradually up to 0.6 mg but now down to 0.4 daily. Plan on weaning myself off this medication due to shortness of breath, chest pain, pounding and rapid heartbeat and anxiety so bad that my life has become withdrawn. Severe facial flushing due to anxiety.Absolutely do not stop taking this medication without a gradual reduction plan. Sudden stop will cause dangerous increase in blood pressure that could lead to heart attack or stroke
My anxiety level has never been this extreme and it has only increased since I started taking Clonidine. Look up rare side effects
Felt dizzy with extreme summer heat and decreased water intake. Some constipation.
For ADHD: increased some focus. Helped with some emotional regulation.

I was taking 50 mg x daily for hot flashes. Worked brilliantly for that, but over time, less than a year,the dry mouth, stuffy nose, and tingling almost numb toes, on my right foot, I'd had enough. I stopped cold turkey. Reasons being more than these symptoms, constant nausea, severe abdominal pain, fatigue, muscle weakness. I have been unable too eat, and when I did, pain and diarrhea like water followed. In am a shadow of my former self. I am already am taking hypertension medications, and detoxing from this drug has spiked my blood pressure. Been in ER emergency. Toxic toxic drug. Who makes these things?Now wake to palpitations and nausea every single time since stopping this "medication" three days ago.
On day 11 I saw my right ankle swelled. Day 12 and 13, ankle and lower portion of leg swelled. Day 14, more leg swelling, about half of the calf, swelled, with tightness and pain.
After several days on Clonidine, I began to feel slightly dizzy. Then on 16th day, got home from short shopping trip when I got so dizzy I had to sit down immediately to keep from falling, I got heart palpitations, and I began to feel like I might pass out. My wife took my blood pressure immediately. It had plummeted to 80 over 50. BP went down to 72 over 38 and stayed that way for the next 45 minutes. Then it very gradually went up to 100 over 70 and finally 120 over 80. This episode lasted 1 and 1/2 hour. Never took another Clonidine HCL pill. Back to HCTZ which doesn't cause this kind of problem.
Take at bed time. Due to the making you sleepy, calm next day, unless steed out. Carried a dose in my bag for that. No wait gain when taking at bed time. It really helped with the anxiety, and stability of my blood preasure.
Horrible weight gain! Appetite increased by double. Gained 15 pounds in two weeks!! Headaches, and heart racing.
Did not help to control BP. It did help to control my anxiety, but not by much.
