Etidronate works by slowing bone loss, helping to keep your bones strong and less likely to break. It also helps reduce bone pain from this disease. This medication belongs to a class of drugs called bisphosphonates. Etidronate is also used to prevent or treat bone problems that may occur after hip replacement surgery or spinal cord injury. Because I am hoping this medication helps my osteoporosis instead of discontinuing using it, I paid close attention to what I did different the times I had the bad reactions. My conclusion: I did not drink enough water and was fairly inactive those two times. These last three months I have made sure I drink at least 16 ounces of water and try to keep physically busy after my hour is up, like cleaning the house or activities where I am using most of my body. I also make sure I eat a good breatfast about 1 1/2 hours after taking the pill. I have had absolutely no side effects the last three doses and the pain in my limbs, for the most part, has gone away. It does not come back as long as I am fairly active. The chest pains have stopped.

When I first started taking this at 10mg, I didn't have a lot of issues with it other than the weight gain which my doctor completely ignored. Carb cravings are absolutely ridiculous!

This stuff helped kill my marrage, I was on the drug for 6 months. Dry mouth, the sweating was awefull. The fatigue was out of this world.Felt spaced out. Just had a baby boy in Aug. when I got home from work I was shot just wanted to sleep. I had no energy to help with the daily routine with my son. My sex drive sucked.Painfull orgasms, I thought it was all related to a compressed disk. Switched to Vyvance been on it for 3 days. Night and day differance. have energy and much better focus.

3 weeks later back, legs, arms, neck and shoulders aching. Frightened that I have more serious illness.

Lightheaded if not taken with food

I was put on Clomid after my miscarriage, I’ve just finished the first cycle, and won’t know for another 2 weeks if it worked but not sure if I want to repeat it...the constant bloating and gas is horrible but the pain around my ovulation was even worse....it’s like ovulation and period at the same time.
