Side Effects for Cardizem (diltiazem hydrochloride)

EXTREME FATIQUE, SHORT OR BREATH, CHILLS, HIGH LIVER ENZYMES, ELECTROLYTE IMBALANCE, LOW BP THEN HIGH. POUNDING HEART RATE. FEEL LIKE I'M DYING. GAINED 15 LBS. NAUSEA. GOOD IN EMERGENCY BUT KILLING ME AS EVERYDAY MED. I'M QUITTING THIS POISON.

AT MY AGE, I KNOW MY BODY. I'VE BEEN THRU THIS NONSENSE BEFORE. DR TELLING ME IT'S FINE, UPPING DOSE UNTIL MY LIVER IS INJURED. I'M TAKING MILK THISTLE TO REPAIR IT. I'M DONE. GOOD DIET, SLEEP, EXERCISE AND JESUS. MY HEALTH AND BEAUTY STOLEN BY THESE HORRIBLE MEDICATIONS OVER THE YEARS .

Freezing cold neck chest and arms, increased heart rate, sky high blood pressure, jittery inside my body, uncontrolled shaking, extreme fatigue, I couldnt walk without a walker or assistance, induced horrible anxiety

It took two days for me to figure out that this drug was going to kill me so I refused anymore. They don't even know that these side effects exist and act like it's all in your head. Since being off I have improved. Looking for a doctor who knows about nutrition, this drug is poison!

insomnia, shit hard, dick soft, didn't work at all

1200 people have committed suicide because of this poison. plus all the other nightmarish, life ruining adverse reactions. there are thousands more on this site alone, every drug they have jammed down my gullet have done the same. we need to form a union and class action lawsuit against the drug companies and their commissioned sales reps that lie and say they are health care professionals. the whole opioid epidemic his because of the drug companies and the reps.

chills, cold extremities hands/feet, extreme fatigue, excessive sleepiness not relieved by sleep

This is an absolutely terrible drug. Yes I am a 20 year old with high blood pressure - I know terrible. Anyway my doctor gave me this and I took it for 10 days threw the rest away in the trash where it belongs. I have anxiety and this drug messed with my heart and made me freak out. It felt like my heart slowed down but beat harder if that makes sense. I woke up in the AM cold, my feet and hards were freezing. Rediculous exhaustion, felt like I was given a tranquilizer. Guess you don't have to worry about high BP if you're comatose.

NIght terror, nightmares, weight gain, swelling, inability to sleep, vision loss, tremor, DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG

DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG EVER!!!!!!!!! After three months I was no longer able to sleep and if I did I would wake up every hour with waking nightmares for weeks. HORRIBLE DRUG

Hot flashes, anxiety, depression, crying,

Wonderful, miracle cure for heart palpitations. Unfortunately, counter indicated with Latuda, which I start a few months ago. (Raises the serum levels of Latuda.) Had to switch to amilopine (sp?) and I have a lot of side effects with this new drug. Too many so I'm not going to take it.

Had experienced burning up oesophagus after taking Cardizem for approx 8 months. Have had stomach burning and pain for 2 months. ENDOSCOPY TODAY diagonised ulcers!! I ceased Cardizem about 1 week ago and my conditioned improved immediately but still some burning and pain.

My doctor didn't know Cardizem caused epigastric pain until she checked her drug manual. Thank goodness I looked it up and suggested to my dr that I was sure this was the cause of my problem. It may help to lower BP but who wants gastric ulcers?

When I first started, ringing in ears, hot flashes/flushed. Tired all the time. Basic walking and tasks a chore, just beyond tired. Makes driving hard, maybe because I feel dizzy and out of it. Hoping it gets better. Taking this along with Multaq to control AFIB, pending an Ablation. Nothing has stopped my AFIB yet.

weakness, fatigue, decreasing exercise tolerance before experiencing chest pain

Hypertension, arrythmias, angina

This medication is VERY effective for cardiac arrythmias and high blood pressure.

CARDIZEM (DILTIAZEM HYDROCHLORIDE): Diltiazem is used to prevent chest pain (angina). It may help to increase your ability to exercise and decrease how often you may get angina attacks. Diltiazem is called a calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing blood vessels in the body and heart and lowers the heart rate. Blood can flow more easily and your heart works less hard to pump blood. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA) Download our Free Resource Guide:

I first went to my doctor complaining about anxiety and was given cypralex which only increased the severity of my panic attacks. I was then given effexor. My stomache then stopped working and I was then given more medication to try to ease this side effect.I then began to suffer the side effects I have previously listed. Because of this I went to an emergeny clinic to have my health reviewed and was told to stop taking the medication...at this point serotonin syndrome along with psychosis were setting in..(without my own knowledge...i was unaware how sick I was because of this medication until this current time in which I am well.) I ended up being certified and in a mental healthy facility for 7 weeks. I went through a very long time of trial and error with different medications until finally they found one which worked for me...I now must be on this medication (seroquel) for a year in order to be certain that I do not suffer a relapse. If you are taking effexor and believe it is wor

Plaquenil has changed my life - I no longer stagger to my feet in the mornings and have to hold on to furniture to get around for the first 3 hours of the day. This is a vast improvement on my quality of life, and my nightly leg cramps have ceased.

Memory problems, blurred vision, do not care about anything, very lucid vivid dreams, extreme anger, dizzness, spacey feeling, trouble verbally communicating, and can not hold onto anything

EXTREME joint pain (hips, shoulders, elbows) and muscle pain (especially back of neck, side of neck, shoulders and muscles under the breasts).

Its to bad these Medical companies don't post all the warnings. Like with any drug they might not affect some people and will effect others. So the ones posting with nothing effecting them your lucky.

Slight headaches, hot flushes, and my chest feels heavy at times...plus nausea

My daughter has had tremendous improvement in energy, concentration, and mood. Before taking Abilify she was on Geodon and had terrible akathisia. It also interfered with her ability to learn, and she had to withdraw from college courses to avoid failing. (She wound up finishing college with a B average, so you can see she's normally able to learn. ) Once she got off the Geodon, the irritability and stupidness went away but she became suicidal and self-injured. Since starting the Abilify she hasn't tried suicide even once. (Before that it was 14 times in six years.) I am grateful to the Abilify, but I wish she wasn't so hungry all the time.

I was on Estrace before, which in addition to being messy didn't seem to work that well. While Osphena really worked for me, the side effects - especially the weight gain - will send me back to my doctor for an alternative. I haven't changed my diet and am in the gym 3 or 4 times a week. At this age I refuse to have to work even harder than I already am to keep my weight down.

Almost constant runny nose. Some vision disturbances. Now have a dislocated clavicle and 2 fractures of the upper right rib cage. Most likely caused by using Actos, since there was no trauma involved.

I think most of my side effects are from Symbicort but weight gain, heart burn, headache, Urinary issues at times...
