Prandin (repaglinide) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Prandin (repaglinide)

No side effects what so ever You must test BS diligently to prevent lows. Overall, very safe on a LCHP diet and you are willing to test BS pre and post each meal.

I highly recommend this drug. It is much safer than all the new Diabetes drugs out there. The generic is very cheap.

No side effects whatsoever. Could cause lows if timing is not just right before eating.

I think this is an effective medication for preventing after meal spikes in blood sugar. The most difficult thing about taking it is having to remember to take it at the right time before eating a meal.

If you take the drug and then only eat a small amount of carbs it can lead to a low BG 2-3 hours later. It works best when used with low glycemic index carbs. I cannot identify any other sides effects of the drug.

It is an excellent drug in my opinion as it allows you to eat whenever you want, and skip meals. It does a great job of lowering BG to 125 or less one hour after eating.

help eliminate sugar spikes-diabete

Would just like info on this drug for a friend who has M.S. and is experiencing some odd symptoms

PRANDIN (REPAGLINIDE): Repaglinide is used alone or with other medications to control high blood sugar along with a proper diet and exercise program. It is used in people with type 2 diabetes. Controlling high blood sugar helps prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs, and sexual function problems. Proper control of diabetes may also lessen your risk of a heart attack or stroke. It works by stimulating the body to produce more insulin. Insulin is a natural substance that allows the body to properly use sugar from the diet. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

Non stop bleeding, gushing. 7 weeks since I got this shot and haven't stopped. I am hungry, mood swinging irritated. I got it to prepare for a sterilization procedure at the suggestion of the nurse so they could make sure I wouldn't be pregnant on my appointment date. I'm also supposed to get another one after procedure until they're sure that it took. Not at this point. This is good example of why I want to get off the hormonal bc.

My doctor put me on this after I had surgery. Since then, I have gained almost 10 pounds while working out and dieting. The mood swings have been the worst. I might like you one minute and hate you the next. I have had 2 periods a month since January. This has to be the worst pill out there. I am so glad to see others say they have experienced the same because I was beginning to think I was some sort of freak!!

I would NOT recommend this pill. I feel like a different person now(not in a good way either). I started off on Yaz and got headaches on a daily basis but compared to Loestrin it's worth it. I'm switching back to Yaz after this month is over

Back is a bit sore, sometimes headaches, lots of poo (maybe it's just me that's been going on before I took this) peeling skin on my face, chapped lips (the corners of my lips are the worst at the moment) constantly sleepy (but I'm always sleepy being a teen)

At Age 60 I had Sinus infections, had badcoughing spells. Mother's Day 1996 I quitsmoking and used Nicorette Gum 4 mg.!Iloved smoking so it took me 6 times tostop smoking using the Nicorette Gum.Three days no more coughing, no moresinus infections. ELEVEN (11)YEARS &I was still chewing the Nicorette Gum.1998 I noticed the back of my front teethhad a groove and were worn so thin thatit look like they might break in half. Endedup costing me $25,000 of reconstruction doneon my upper teeth. Still did not realize thatit was the gum that had created it.

Fluoroquinolones are very toxic; they cross the path into your brain. They destroy your GABA and your melatonin. Although the damage may not be permanent, it can take a LONG time to restore it.So what are the alternatives?Well, there is a MUCH safer antibiotic for UTI's called MONUROL. It is a one-time packet that you mix in water. Unfortunately, it cannot take care of serious UTS's. Another alternative sold in health food stores is D-Monnitol. This herb draws the E.Coli away and clears the problem away. BUT you can only use this herb once every 8 weeks; you can overdose on it, and it CAN be fatal. At least it won't affect your brain like the evil Cipro.

I take a tablet at night which knocks me out but I wake with a headache and nausea and a feeling of extreme tiredness that lasts for most of the day. I am taking it in conjunction with an estrogen gel which has all but got rid of my night sweats. I just hate how tired I always feel now

My dosage was 400mg the first dose was to be taken upon waking and the second dose was to be taken at noon.

On the 4th day after implant each month suddenly felt dreadful with chills, severe nausea and loss of appetite lasting 48hrs with some abdominal and back pain. First week severe headaches, following weeks mild occasional headaches. Hot flushes. Waking up throughout night feeling hot. Dry lips, skin and hair. UTI. Joint aches, mostly in shoulders. Apathy and depression. Zero libido.

Insomnia, Vivid dreams when I did sleep, Spacey feeling, No sex drive
