Janumet xr (metformin hydrochloride; sitagliptin phosphate) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Janumet xr (metformin hydrochloride; sitagliptin phosphate)

Slight nausea, loss of appetite. Otherwise, it has kept my A 1-c under complete control.

It is way TOO EXPENSIVE......I am fortunate to have found insurance that will help pay for it. The purpose of manufacturing a successful drug is to help people get better......not to see how much money you can make on their misfortune.....

JANUMET XR (METFORMIN HYDROCHLORIDE; SITAGLIPTIN PHOSPHATE): Sitagliptin/metformin is used with a proper diet and exercise program to control high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. Controlling high blood sugar helps prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs, and sexual function problems. Proper control of diabetes may also lessen your risk of a heart attack or stroke. This product contains 2 medications: sitagliptin and metformin. Sitagliptin works by increasing levels of natural substances called incretins. Incretins help to control blood sugar by increasing insulin release, especially after a meal. They also decrease the amount of sugar your liver makes. Metformin works by helping to restore your body's proper response to the insulin you naturally produce. It also decreases the amount of sugar that your liver makes and that your stomach/intestines absorb. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

I am drinking this horrible drink right now. I feel like I am being tortured. I wish I would have found this site before maybe another one of the flavors would have been better. I am drinking the cherry and really struggling to keep it down. I can't believe with all the advancements in medicine they don't have something that tastes better. Drinking a bottle of Castor oil sounds better to me.

Heart racing,nervousness,anxiety and panic attacks,shortness of breath,insomnia

depression, moodiness, and crying all the time!!!!!!!!!

Mirapex has been somewhat helpful in reducing tremors, whereasArtane and Amantadine did nothing. I am not taking any other medication yet. I am now up to 1 mg 3 x day, but I am experimenting with lower dosage again to see if side effects can be reduced.

I was admitted to the hospital with a severe kidney infection. I don't know the dosage because it was in my IV that I had continuos for 3 days in the hospital. I had the most severe headache and neckpain that I have ever experienced. (I have a very high pain tolerance and have had 2 natural childbirths). When I let the nurses know they said it must have been from the morphine (but had morphine quite a few years earlier after a surgery and never had that kind of pain). About a week later I began feeling very intense pain in my ankles. I was in pretty good shape before the hospital stay so it wasn't from being out of shape. My body overall hurts more than it ever has in my life.

will never take again, was sicker from the meds than the uti

I had horrible periods with Ortho Evra, so I've been really happy with the light periods on this. I've had hardly any cramping or mood swings. I had one month with some breakthrough bleeding, but not bad. I was a bit concerned when i missed my last period, but the doc says its normal...Ok with me.

Severe headaches the first few days. I am on 1 a day for recurrent outbreaks.

Ive been on triphasil 28 for approx 15 years without any problems, except now I cant find it any where and I have to take the generic and have had breakthrough bleeding for the past 4 weeks, talk about PMS. I want my pills!!!!!
