Diabeta (glyburide) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Diabeta (glyburide)

Doctor gave me samples 20 yrs ago when my fasting sugar was slightly higher than it should be. Made me sick, nauseated. Had to quit after 4-5 days, but too late. Damage was irreverssible and I was insulin dependent from then on.

I take two 5mg tablets twice a day.I have experienced fatigue and loss of appetite.

DIABETA (GLYBURIDE): Glyburide is used with a proper diet and exercise program to control high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. It may also be used with other diabetes medications. Controlling high blood sugar helps prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs, and sexual function problems. Proper control of diabetes may also lessen your risk of a heart attack or stroke. Glyburide belongs to the class of drugs known as sulfonylureas. It lowers blood sugar by causing the release of your body's natural insulin. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

minor increase of itching/burning after inserting ovule and upon application of vuvular cream. TONS of leakage on first night and a steady but very mild cramp. however, it seems to be doing the trick and that makes it totally worth it.

None at first as dose was increased slowly. Main side effect now are sickness and yawning fits. It stops tremor, releases tension in neck, stops twisting of foot, takes hand out of a dystonic hold. Allows me to function without my body feeling it is 100 years old. Must be taken on time with no gaps. Downside was i could never get them out the packet as they were so small. Dosage increased so now take co careldopa.

I had severe problem and had to go to ER thinking I am going to die. I am still getting over the depression.

Perscribed 30mg Vyvanse doe BED and adhd. I would say it helped me in the very beginning. I lost abou 31lbs in 6 months. Also, focused at school and on whatever I'm workong on. Gives energy however hou thurst all the time. I just started to have chest pains amd my dc took me off of it.

Extreme fatigue and sleepiness, dizziness, loss of appetite, socially awkward.

headaches, sore throat, fatigue/exhaustion, slight blurry vision, fever

the upside: it caused my periods to be like clockwork when they were never even close to regular, before estrostep. also, have had much less intense cramping (used to be so bad i'd pass out), and my periods are much lighter.

Only on day 4 and 5 mgs so not sure yet.....hoping it works because I cannot live with these panic attacks and anxiety anymore, driving me up the wall.....this is like my 10th one, so crossing my fingers..

i am so relieved to not have panic attacks any more, but i am not comfortable with all the side effects. instead of feeling controlled by anxiety, i now feel controlled by effexor.

Addition on 3/30/07 of depression while taking reglan for GERD. Guess I went on too long.I realized the connection when my Rx bottle had a new label warning about depression. My doctor tapered me off the Reglan and the depression went away. I'm off the antidepressants and fine now.
