Side Effects for Tamiflu (oseltamivir phosphate)

TAMIFLU (OSELTAMIVIR PHOSPHATE): Oseltamivir is used to treat symptoms caused by the flu virus (influenza). It helps make the symptoms (such as stuffy nose, cough, sore throat, fever/chills, aches, tiredness) less severe and shortens the recovery time by 1-2 days. This medication may also be used to prevent the flu if you have been exposed to someone who already has the flu (such as a sick household member) or if there is a flu outbreak in the community. Talk to your doctor for more details. This medication works by stopping the flu virus from growing. It is not a substitute for the flu vaccine. (See also Notes section.) After one week of 250 mg, I began having shortness of breath when walking short distances that would otherwise not bother me. I felt like I needed to be careful about exerting myself at all. I also began having leg cramps in my calves, as well as insomnia. This was a very low dose and I did not have enough time on the med to increase it to the cholesterol lowering dose. My doctor recommended I stop the med, which I did. I hope the symptoms go away after stopping the med.

Cold all the time, reflux, bloating, gassy, and definite weight gain.

Extended periods of low mood, loss of self-confidence, loss of interest in life etc. also brain fog & impaired memory

I was intitially very pleased with effexor. In the begng I thought it was a huge help in allowing me to manage my depression. My only complaints were that if I did not take the meds by 4pm I would be extremely nauseated and would have "body shocks." I also found that I had no drive on the medction as if I did not care, but I also wasnt as sad so I still felt content with the drug despite the other frustrations. During my 4th month on effxor I began severly sweating, it was terribly embarrising. I never wanted to go out with my friends, b/c if we would walk anywhere for even 5 min, the temp difference of outside to inside would make me sweat profusely. The effexor made it very easy to sleep, and I did alot of that, sometimes missing important events, which is completely out of character. Eventually I was sick of the nausea from a late on a dose, the weird and troubling dreams, the embarrising sweating, and missed my old self that worked hard and was always prepared. I tried

tingling in hands and feet, bad tasting sodas, boughts of sleepyness, and extreme heartburn.

I've been taking Lamictal (as a mood stabilizer) Lexapro (as an antidepressant). When prolonged stress recently triggered a manic episode, the doctor told me to stop the Lexapro; he also gave me a SamplePak of Seroquel (100mg) with instructions to take 1 that PM & 1 the next AM, which he warned "might make [me] a little too drowsy during the day" but would help to curb the manic symptoms. As it turned out, the 1st tablet put me to sleep for 24 hours straight. I woke up unable to talk without slurring incoherently; when I finally got out of bed (after 36 hours), I was dizzy/shaky with cottonmouth, dyspepsia & diarrhea)…So the doctor told me to try just 1/2 pill that PM: Within 30 minutes, I was out for 12 hours w/subsequent unsteadiness, cottonmouth ongoing gastrointestinal upsets. My 2nd 1/2-tablet PM dose caused an URGENT mid-night call of nature; I fell flat on my face enroute to the stairs -- which I negotiated 1 step at a time, hands braced against each

Big warts on face, hair loss, yellow skin.

Apart from the nausea the wellbutrin is helping keep me focused on the things I need to do. I've asked my psych about the side effects; I think I need to give it more time.

First 2 nights had trouble sleeping then went away. Otherwise, none!
