Relenza (zanamivir) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Relenza (zanamivir)

no side effects at all. felt better within 7 hours after first dose. Relenza is a miracle. one person in our house to tamiflu and got worse my wife and i took Relenza and were better in 1/2 day

i trust this medicine and will recommend and use it again.

I caught the flu from my son, but Relenza worked miracles for me. 6 hours after inhaling the first dose, my fever started to go down. Experienced no noticeable side-effects. (unlike my son who took Tamiflu for his influenza and got really sick in the stomach) By day 2, I was feeling all better.

RELENZA (ZANAMIVIR): Zanamivir is used to treat symptoms caused by the flu virus (influenza) if you have had symptoms for 2 days or less. It helps lessen symptoms (such as stuffy nose, cough, sore throat, fever/chills, headache, body aches, tiredness) and shortens the recovery time by about 1 to 2 days. Zanamivir may also be used to prevent the flu if you have been exposed to someone who already has the flu (such as a sick household member) or if there is a flu outbreak in the community. Talk to your doctor for more details. This medication works by stopping the flu virus from growing. It is not a substitute for the flu vaccine. If you have the flu, zanamivir does not reduce the risk of giving the flu to others. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

I have experienced shortness of breath, sharp pains in chest as well as a dull itching in the center of my chest. stomach pains and nausea as well as diarrhea.

Mark Satisfied but only because site requires it.

Dry mouth and throat, "light headedness", some difficulty with urination. Helps relaxe me.

I use it to prevent an asthma attack and so far it is working. Been taking it for about two years.

Has helped me with my anxiety and depression, though I still do worry alot, maybe more than before. Bad sexual side effects. I'm going to talk it over with my doctor to see what I'd like to have done.

I have been taking Fosamax for approximately 1 1/2 years and didn't think I had any side effects because I was only looking for difficulty swallowing. I have an upset stomach daily (never had stomach problems), I have a LOT of gas, I just started getting a pain in my right hip, loose stools but the worst part was the debilitating fatigue! I have absolutely no energy except to go from the bed to the couch. Everyday chores now seem overwhelming, I seem to get anxious and depressed over minor issues. This website is like a god-send. When I contacted my doctor, she told me to stop but didn't believe my issues were from the Fosamax. I believe they are because I have never had any of these issues before taking it and the only other medication I'm on is Zestril for blood pressure which I've been on for approximately 12 years.

Stomach pains and esophogus pains and heart burn.

Got the shot at the pharmacy on Friday. My arm was sore at the injection site within a couple hours. Felt run down by the next morning (headache, fatigue, mild fever, loss of appetite, etc.) and all I wanted to do was sleep. Was similar feeling to when I got the chickenpox as an adult (I avoided getting it until I was 36). Felt better on Sunday but still tired. Feeling normal again on Monday. Would recommend plan on taking the vaccine when you don't have to worry about doing anything the next day or two. Looking at this as, feeling crummy for a day or two after is better than getting shingles.

elevated blood pressure but not HIGH blood pressure, insomnia the first few days but went away

I don't think it's helping. Unsure.
