DICYCLOMINE HCL (DICYCLOMINE HYDROCHLORIDE): Dicyclomine is used to treat a certain type of intestinal problem called irritable bowel syndrome. It helps to reduce the symptoms of stomach and intestinal cramping. This medication works by slowing the natural movements of the gut and by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and intestines. Dicyclomine belongs to a class of drugs known as anticholinergics/antispasmodics. This medication must not be used in children younger than 6 months old because of the risk of serious side effects. After reading some of the silly comments regarding Ativan, it appears that people who claim to have bizarre experiences with this drug probably need to address some issues that Ativan will not help them with. To them I say "Get help now."" Having said that, I've been on this med for 10 years, no side effects, works like a charm, not to difficult to wean off of IF you follow the proper tapering method. DO NOT stop taking this drug cold turkey under any circumstances (the backlash effect is pretty bad). I've run out a few times, and it's not pleasant. Great medicine, highly recommended.
Sweating, insomnia, mood swings.I was on 50mg for 3 days, 40mg for 3 days, 30mg for 3 days, 20 mg for 3 days and 10 mg for 3 days. About 4 days after the last dose, I started getting full to severe headaches. I have had them every day for better than a month. I would take migraine pills with naproxen like it was candy! The headaches would sometimes go away for 1/2 a day only to return with a full vengence! I am so upset because my Dr. said she didn't think that could do that since I no longer took them.

Works well, husband wasn't a fan but it was easy to remove before sex and put back in right after. I do occasionally miss my period on my week off of the ring, and can't figure out why. I called my doctor the second time it happened and he said this was 'normal'. Bullsh*t, but whatever. I know I'm not a preggo, but it would be nice to have a period when its time (for sanitation purposes of course).

Dizziness, confusion, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts towards end of prescription. Headaches, stomach upset, severe nausea if not taken with enough food, nervousness, shimmy headed almost like motion sickness. Talk to your doctor about side effects and ask for an alternative. Its just way to much.
