ZYPREXA ZYDIS (OLANZAPINE): Olanzapine is used to treat certain mental/mood conditions (such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder). It may also be used in combination with other medication to treat depression. This medication can help to decrease hallucinations and help you to think more clearly and positively about yourself, feel less agitated, and take a more active part in everyday life. Olanzapine belongs to a class of drugs called atypical antipsychotics. It works by helping to restore the balance of certain natural substances in the brain. I tried this medication hoping it would be effective since I had good results for a time on Effexor (which of course is also an SNRI). Unfortunately it wasn't a good fit for me at all. More side effects than with any other antidepressant (and I've been on a slew of them).
I was so happy because I had not experienced any side effects BUT recently I am feeling like a crippled person... my neck, my back everything aches and I cannot sleep I am even using a vertical traction... I do not now if it has to do with my scoliosis or with actonel... but I have always had scoliosis and never felt like this befores
Lighter Periods, Prevent Pregnancy
Started on 25 mg at bedtime 2 weeks ago. Told my doctor today that the daytime drowsiness was too much to tolerate. Ambien-10mg still not enough, but will seek other answers. Have tried lunesta before.
I have panic disorder and the 1st time I took this drug I had no problems but this time I've had constant panic, red face & sore tongue. All antibiotics can cause vaginal yeast infections & yeast infect. of the mouth so the sore tongue is prob. that. But while its working on my UTI, I can't stand the daily extreme panic, shaking, hyperactivity. As an RN I've given this drug many times and never heard anyone complain. I don't know if they've changed the formula or not. Supposed to take for 21 days but I think I'm going to quit because my anxiety meds are not helping the panic!
Caused acute pancreatitis which needed me to be 999 ambulanced to hospital and given morphine for the pain. Spent days in hospital on drips and was very ill. It works for many but could have killed me.
hot flashes, night sweats, headaches, hip joint pain, extreme fatigue, depression (although I was already prone to this)
Love it/hate it! Definately reduces fibro pain.energizing at first then decreases. I'm more patient, less negative, calmer but my give a darn is broken and I can't even imagine why folks would want to have sex. Makes me a bit withdrawn.
Dry mouth, acne and oily skin, teeth started to look bad.
Only modern drug to use is seroquel 400mg/night or something (IR, not XR/prolong). Do not use low-dose (>200mg) seroquel.
