GEODON (ZIPRASIDONE HYDROCHLORIDE): Ziprasidone injection is used to treat occurrences of severe agitation in patients with schizophrenia. It works by helping to restore the balance of certain natural substances (neurotransmitters) in the brain. Ziprasidone injection is used when quick relief of your symptoms is required. It is not used together with the form of this medication that is taken by mouth. An injection of ziprasidone works quickly to reduce tension and anxiety which, if untreated, can result in dangerous behavior and interfere with your treatment and care. No periods but some spotting, bone mass loss
This is the second time in 2 years that I have taken this drug....with a 6 month break in between. Symptoms began 20 - 30 days after starting the drug. The drug helps w/shrinking the prostate, but the side effects are miserable.
Mild lighheadedness, comes and goes. Extreme dryness in my skin and mouth. No appetite at all.
I've been taking Xanax for 45 years starting off with 0.0 mg and now 4 mg/daily and sometimes more up to 8 mg. At my age I don't think it would be worth the problems associated with withdrawal. I'd still be left with my anxiety/depressive disorder. I'll just blunder along.
Yasmin was great. The first few months I lost about 8 pounds and my acne cleared up, which was nice. I didn't have severe side effects, but after about 3 1/2 years my sex drive began to decrease until it became non-existent. I'm switching to something else this month to see if that helps; if not, I'll probably go back to Yasmin. Overall, I'd recommend it.
I've been having mood swings and feeling very emotional, thought i was suffering from depression.
Constipation, weight gain and horrible joint and muscle pain. I've been off it for 2 weeks and still having pain
This medication is horrible the cramps and diarrhea are non stop. Pains in the stomach and bowel are unbearable not to mention dizziness and headache. I will never touch this drug again
Dude this pill made my boobs big and all but i am sooo moody! I got in fights with my best friend so i advise you not to take it! I was so emotional too! dang! Im quitting it and going to ortho tri cy
Switched back to Depakote even though I do not like the weight gain.
