COMPAZINE (PROCHLORPERAZINE MALEATE): This medication is used to treat severe nausea and vomiting from certain causes (for example, after surgery or cancer treatment). Prochlorperazine belongs to a class of drugs known as phenothiazines. This medication is not recommended for use in children younger than 2 years or in children going through surgery. Lisinopril seemed to be working very well in lowering my blood pressure, but I felt horrible from the first day I started it! The dizziness, fatigue and fogginess were very troubling. The 2nd day I took it, my eyes felt like sand was in them to the point I could hardly open them...started using eyedrops and that helped but my eyes still felt odd. The third day, within an hour after taking it, I experienced the swelling of my eyelids, hands and feet. I took a mega dose of Benedryl and contacted my Dr. the next morning. She gave me a steroid shot to counteract the allergy and changed me to Norvasc. So far only a little bit of dizziness with it, but its only been 1 day.
so i know this is for a review but please please if anyone could answer a question, so i've been excerising at least an hour every single day without fault some days over 2hrs and trying to stay under 1200cal/aday but im not loosing weight? when i get to 2000mg/a day is that when everyone noticed weight loss i feel crazy excerising so much and not eating everything i want when im not loosing weight. Please email me with advice or when u noticed weight loss what your dosage was?
At first I didn't put it together....but as soon as I started this drug I had severe joint pains. My left knee felt like I was a golden girl. Then it was my right leg that started hurting. I went to the doctor several times complaining about these problems. They just looked at me dumbfounded and suggested anxiety meds. Not one of them said....hey maybe it's a side effect of what your taking. Before Acid Reflux I never really took any medication regularly so I never thought about side effects before. And the sad part is, the Protonix didn't even help my Acid Refux problems and I had to go on a different medicine. And unfortunately I get joint pain on all PPIs. Please warn your friends about these drugs and suggest they not start them.

I THINK THE DRUG HAS WORKED WONDERS FOR ME..I COULDNT EVEN TALK TO ANYONE BECAUSE I USED TO FLUSH NEARLY EVERY MINUTE OF THE DAY, IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. AFTER TAKING IT FOR A WEEK I AM NOT WORRIED ABOUT WHAT OTHERS THINK ANYWMORE, IM IN A JOB WHICH WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE OTHERWISE, MADE LOADS OF FRIENDS, AT THE END OF THE DAY EVERY DRUG HAS GOOD BITS AND BAD BITS, AND ITS UP TO THE INDIVIDUAL TO SEE HOW WELL THEY CAN COPE WITH IT.
This drug was a miracle for me. It balanced out my mood brilliantly and helped me sleep. Unfortunately I put on 20kg in the time I took this drug so decided to look for something more weight friendly. I was ALWAYS hungry and craving carb-loaded or sugary foods.
I'm taking 2 tablets every 4 hours (excluding night time) as prescribed. It works somewhat for my pain by mostly knocking me out,but the pain usually catches up with me because it doesn't last as long as said.After being asleep, I wake up frequently with extreme itching all over my body and face. Right now I'm in pain waiting for it to take effect, not so pleasant.
no real side effects except that it didn't work for me just on it's own. The Target pharmacist said to take a 1/2 dose of Benedryl, which I just started today. So far, it has eased my sensitivity--makes me feel less like scratching. I do wonder how long it will take for the itching to go away, but it sure is great to figure out what may have triggered all this itching, and that I'm not the only one who has had this side effect!
Terrible drug. Don't touch it.
