Side Effects for Myleran (busulfan)
Just started on Dec. 28. Was taking hydrea but had tongue bumps so was put on myleran to see if tongue bumps would go away and to see if the bumps would not go away that would show the bumps were part of my disease. The bumps are slightly smaller so hopefully they will go away and I can be put back on hydrea for awhile until the bumps start coming back. And probably go back & forth with both medications. That is only my opinion and only time will tell.
myleran is more leukemic so I am a little bit concerned but I have no other choice at this time.
MYLERAN (BUSULFAN): Busulfan is used to treat chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). It does not cure the disease but helps to control it so that your quality of life is improved. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

Fever, swollen lymph nodes, sore throat, entire mouth and throat broke out in canker sores. Extremely painful and miserable.
My gums are bleeding when I brush my teeth. Blood is significant.
Major dizziness, extreme fatigue, pounding/fast paced heartbeat, chest pains, constipation, mild nausea
Cyclothymia (bipolar disorder)
dry mouth, reduced tolerance to hot temps (not a good thing if you live in a hot climate), slight tremor. If I miss a dose, I get dizzy and have nightmares.
