Side Effects for Methotrexate preservative free (methotrexate sodium)

None noticed, possible fatigue, headaches

Have been using for about a year and a half. One 17.5 mg injection weekly. Helps with joint pain, but does not completely make me pain free. Need steroids or another RA medicine in addition. Does not prevent flare-ups but DOES prevent inflammation which leads to deterioration of the joints and deformity which is the greatest thing about this drug and why is extremely important.

No side effects that I know of. I give myself a 1cc injection weekly. Some people don't like needles, but this doesn't bother me.

It is hard to find the 40ML big bottle.

METHOTREXATE PRESERVATIVE FREE (METHOTREXATE SODIUM): Methotrexate is used to treat certain types of cancer or to control severe psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis that has not responded to other treatments. It may also be used to control juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Methotrexate belongs to a class of drugs known as antimetabolites. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells and suppressing the immune system. Early treatment of rheumatoid arthritis with more aggressive therapy such as methotrexate helps to reduce further joint damage and to preserve joint function. Felt better within 5 hours, but having difficulty sleeping so now feeling bad again. Intense gas pains (took gas pills which helped immediately). After reading all the reviews I will stop taking the pills because see that those with nerve problems shouldn't be using this medication. I have early onset of fibromyalgia so probably shouldn't have been perscribed these meds.

GAVE THIS MEDECATION A 2 DUE TO IT CAUSED ME TO HAVE A STROKE AND I AM NOW PARTIALLY PARALYZED ON THE LEFT SIDE. I believe some physicians need to learn more about DHE before administering. I had tightness in the chest numbness on the

even though it sounds like i had alot of symptoms, it didnt feel too bad at the time, the worst was nausea but it only lasted a day or so (i think it was just the antibiotic kicking in) and my bad gum which had given me the worst pain in my life (rendering me unable to eat and barely drink) started to decrease in swelling and pain within 2 days, well worth persevering with this medication.

"Running hot", extreme sensitivity to being hot (though it is the summer, may be less tolerant than others), poor concentration, re-occurrence of bad memories upon going to sleep or rising, smelly farts (I can deal with...sort of), some bladder problems.

At first extreme nausea/diarrhea and some pain in the 'midriff' area. After I stopped taking this medication, the diarrhea/sickness stopped but still nauseous, extreme pain, and general weakness/sleeplessness as a result.I have been on different medication for a couple of days now and this has not subsided.I am hungry but not at all motivated to eat.Stomach pain appears randomly and feels like being kicked from the inside.

This acts almost like a modulator for my brain. When I start to maybe get anxious, it brings be back to normal within minutes. If I am ever depressed or obsessing, I can come out of it within 24 hours. I could not ask for anything more. I have never felt 'high' though or buzz like so if that's what you are looking for I don't see it with Depakote ER.

Extremely tired, low back pain, and a permanent thirsty feeling.

None for the first month or so. Then I started experiencing horrible leg and foot cramps at night. They would occur every night and wake me up in horrible pain. Had to stand up and walk around for a while to make them go away. They were ruing my sleep. Plus, my mouth felt dry as the dessert all day and night. Was drinking tons of water and even carried a bottle when I went shopping. My wife, who had been put on this drug didn't experience leg cramps but suffered from the dry mouth. She was only taking 1 prescription tablet, whereas, I was taking two per day.

loss of smell and taste, anxiety, perforation of septum

slight manic/ dep., unable to sleep
