is this the way they kill ya ?
Having been on this for 7 years with no side effects that I know of, I can't believe the low ratings. The only issue I've ever had is that if I don't exercise and maintain a proper weight it does not control my blood pressure alone, I have to take lasix as well.
I am taking Lisinipril, and have had no side effects, but was not expecting any. Has been a great med for a second one for b/p. I really have zero complaints at all!

I only took it once in the morning before breakfast and the effects are horrible! The doctors should try it first so they know how it feels taking this med.instead of making you well it makes you worse like you feel like a shit. I really regret taking even one pill of this zestril. It's a poison to the body and mind!!!

Ringing in both ears. Intensity has increased over the years. I had a MRI which was negative.
to prevent the effects of diabetes?
I have been told my cough is due to allergies! but now I doubt it. I am not sure why I am on this med, I do not have high blood pressure and I was told it was just a preventative to the diabetes meds. Hmm I wonder. I would like to stop taking it and see if the coughing stops, not sure if I have to go off slowly or if I can just stop taking it.
Cough started within 24 hours (side affect) - sick w/ flu like symptoms (fever, sore throat, chills, fatigue, dizziness etc) lasted 12 days.
I have never been on any type of RX on a regular basis. Was skeptical about starting this to begin w/ after BP had been high (avg. 140's / 90's - used to be normal 120/80) I think stress has caused the increase and almost feel was put on this too soon. Got sick w/in 24 hours of starting the meds. Cough started, fatigue, loss of appetite, dizzy / mindless feeling. stopped taking after a few days by dr's recommendation and had lingering cough weeks later.
Coughing and Hair Loss most notable side effects.
Controlled my blood pressure well. Didn't realize the coughing was a side effect (thought it was Sinus problem) until I switched to another drug. Loss of hair major concern & it was the drug that was causing this as I cut it back to 2.5mg per day and hair started to grow again. Now on Atacand which seems to be working fine for me.
I was extremely fatigued by this medicine. I felt like I had no strength or muscle tone, and would frequently have to sleep during the day. I stopped taking this medication and switched to Amlodipine, and the symptoms of fatigue went away.
Good for controlling Hypertension, and allows for cardiac remodeling. HORRIBLE ON THE MIND!!! MENTAL FOG, MEMORY PROBLEMS, DEPRESSION, LIP SWELLLING; I NEVER FEEL LIKE MY FORMER SELF!

Was taking Dynacirc/Diovan.Had periodic headaches.MD switched me to lisinopril.It reduced my bp better then the Dynacic/Diovan but the side effects were very troublesome.Palpitations.Muscle fatigue,reduced exercise ability,flu like aches and pain.Just not a good drug for me.Almost like the cure was worse than the high BP.
Headache, feeling stressed, low sex drive and ED. Will try a diferent med or start taking ED pills.
It lower my blood pressure, no cough as side effect. I don't drink or smoke, active life.
cough! bad. especially at night. Sore throat sometimes so bad i can't swallow. When first starting to take it i experienced really bad headaches and dizziness. I still have cough and throat problems along with muscle cramping. Headaches gone
bp was usually 160's to 170's over 110. 10mg greatly lowered my bp. The cough is terrible but i'll take it over stroking out or having a heart attack

I only took it one day the 20mg and I thought I was having a heart attack. Doctor told me to wait three days but take half. Took it on a saturday a half dose and I thought I was having a heart attack. I was on zestoretic. It worked. No reason to change. I have lost weight and my blood pressure has been low without medication. Don't take it! I work out and lift weights. I also eat healthy.
This is a horrible medicine. It does lower the blood pressure but at a terrible price. I got a terrible cough the prevented me from sleeping. In addition, I had a swollen throat so bad that I thought I had strep throat and went to urgent care. Stay far away from this

I am taking the generic lisinoprol. Previously all hair loss stopped early in 2010. Now it suddenly reappeared with a vengance. Runny nose all the time. I thought it may have been allergy season but now after reading this stuff, it may be the Rx. My blood pressure got up to the 160s over the 90s. After taking this Rx, it is down to 123/60. The MD is happy with this.
My initial discomfort came as always feeling really cold. I have been so cold at work that I have to wear an under shirt, top, jacket and scarf. While the AC is aggressive during the summer at work, I have NEVER been this cold before. Feel stupid all bundled up. Is anyone else feeling super cold??I don't feel like I am choking but anything is swelling, but I am no longer able to swallow my multi vitamin. I feel like I will choke so I don't do it. These plus calcium were never an issue but now they are. Could this be something like low grade swelling of throat??

I think that this medication can be very dangerous and especially if its taken over a long period of time (for me around 1-2 months or more could have a serious affect on me) and people should be informed at how this medication can cause serious mood swings/depression/anxiety. This i feel should be put on the side effects list as there are others who have had a similar problem as i have had. I think that there should be some action taken on this if possible as i wouldn't one anyone to have the same experience i have had. Generally with this drug i think you should be very cautious and sensible and i think try to take the least dosage you possibly can as this will hopefully reduce these side effects or so i have been told.
Dizzy so bad could not get out of bed blurred vision sick to stomach this med sucks dr is upset that I seem to complain about all meds but he is not the one having the side effects td
Spot treated once per day at night. Wore a little makeup during the day. I only treated very small areas. No side effects. The redness disappeared after approx 8 weeks.
Mood swings, terrible headaches, nausea and vomiting
it has helped my ulcers and my esophagus, but it has left me with shortness of breath and I've had a very hard time breathing. so I have to find another solution and stop taking it
Worked great. Left a minimal scar. Don't be worried about the skin around the wart that gets affected. It heals up normally, just very uncomfortable.
I had always taken the combined pill and stopped this some 2 years ago to give my body a rest. My GP said that a woman of my age shouldn't take the combined pill and put me on Micronor. My bloatedness and extra fluid retention makes me feel like I'm pregnant - not nice at all.

Started out like flu like symptoms - stomach pain, fever, chills, lots of aches. but symptoms got worse - fever broke after 3 days but my pain got so badI could barely walk. I was hunched over like an 80 year old and could barely get out of bed. I went to urgent care and they ruled out the flu but they also told me they didnt think it was a reaction to the antibiotic. They sent me to the ER for a work up because he was worried to send me home. No one could figure out what was going on but in finding more boards online I realized it is from the macrobid. All of the symptoms started within a day of starting the medicam but I thought it was probably a kidney thing due to a bad UTI. I got another UTI test and it was gone but the symptoms got worse. I stopped taking the macrobid but I am still a mess. I dont know how this is even on the market.
