CORGARD (NADOLOL): Nadolol is used alone or with other medications to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to prevent chest pain (angina). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. In the management of chest pain, nadolol may also help to reduce the frequency of chest pain episodes and improve your ability to exercise. Nadolol belongs to a class of medications called beta blockers. It works by blocking the action of certain natural substances such as adrenaline (epinephrine) on the heart and blood vessels. this drug is horrible for children. if i could give it a negative rating i would. it works on the allergy and asthma symptoms, but turns my son into a completely different person. don't put your kids on it!!!!

I've never slept much at night in my life due to my Asperger's, anxiety, Bipolar, and a few others. They all caused such extreme insomnia, I thought I was lucky to get a total of 4 hours sleep in any given 24 hour period, and that I was doomed to that for the rest of my life. I currently take Lithium, Welbutrin, and Ativan (also as needed), and between them all, including the Seroquel, I'm a balanced, capable, functional person. I feel like I could return to nursing if I wanted to now.

Completely freaked out and recall the whole episode. Within minutes of getting the drug I was convinced something was horribly wrong - I don't know what - and I was convinced the people around me were somehow meaning to do me harm. I tried to get off the gurney and almost made the break worse - since by then I was more or less oblivious as to where I was and why (what broken arm?).
I think it dries up my respiratory function, harder to breath at nightdulls the pain for a few hours, helps me sleep
