COREG (CARVEDILOL): Carvedilol is used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. It is also used after a heart attack to improve the chance of survival if your heart is not pumping well. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. This drug works by blocking the action of certain natural substances in your body, such as epinephrine, on the heart and blood vessels. This effect lowers your heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on your heart. Carvedilol belongs to a class of drugs known as alpha and beta blockers. This medication is AWFUL!First three months I broke out terribly in my chest and had severe headaches. Figured I needed time to adjust.Then last month I started getting bad pain in my ovaries- yaz had caused a huge cyst- never had it before. Required surgical intervention. Not to mention my periods came whenever, wasn't even a period though, just bloody discharge and HORRIBLE cramps that sent me to the ER once because they made me vomit for 4 days straight.Obgyn pulled me off of it ASAP!
Been on it 4 weeks and Dr is upping me from .50 to 1mg. So far so good, people at work have begun to comment that I seem
Frequent urination, decreased appetite, increased physical energy, increased mental energy & focus, lights seemed brighter, food tasted stronger, could not tolerate sweet or salty foods,weight loss, increased sex drive, patience with family members & freinds, decreased road rage, major increase in productivity with work and home chores.
Bone aches "surface" after 4wks & before next scheduled infusion. 7 years' use/monthly infusions.
Unfortunately I have had to take three tablets daily of Duo Forte, 875mg for over 6 weeks now, but I have tolerated it with no side effects. It usually works quickly, in a few days.
I lost about 60lbs in the few months after taking the drug, although it was likely more related to an unrelated period of depression... Still, I cant argue with the results. As long as I keep sleeping I havent had any sorta problems :)

I been taking provera for three months skipping a month in between. I haven't started my cycle not once. only a slight spotting but nothing serious.
Tired, weakness, pain in joints of hips,and other pains here and there. Also blurred vision.upset stomach.heaviness in chest.severe pain "one time" back of right leg at the knee!
I take Gabitril and Lexapro for my GAD and Depression. This combo works for me (though I started Gabitril VERY slowly, about 1mg per week. I think the fact the Gabitril is such a strong anti-anxiety med helped me to acclimate to Buspar easily. After some research, I convinced my Dr. to add Buspar to my combo to bring back my sexdrive. It worked for me. I even have those passionate, vulnerable, "artistic" feelings back that were the one ok thing about being suicidal. Eeek.
