I’m very grateful for this medication. Years ago I had such bad anxiety and developed insomnia. I wanted to sleep so bad but my brain wouldn’t turn off. This medication helped calm me down to where I could relax and finally get some sleep.
Anti-anxiety & helped with nausea
This medicine really helped with my sporadic anxiety. It helps me lay my head down and fall asleep fairly easily. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 is because of the dizziness. It really depends on how much of it I take (duh..lol) but almost every single time it causes me to become extremely dizzy. Its been so bad before that I've had to lean up against the wall just to get back to my room.
I just wanted to say that I am taking Methadone prescribed once daily. Don't know if that helps anyone or not?
this medication has several uses. My anxiety level was lowered and I am able to get to sleep easier. Being a antihistamine it also allows me to wake up breathing better. and to add it lowers my blood pressure.
After just a few days on this drug I had to stop taking it. I was taking it in combonation with a drug that made me drowsy. So I just felt so physically tired and mentally awake. It was the worst feeling ever.
Itching & Nausea caused by Opiates
This is a really good drug to add when a patient needs to take an opiate. The all over the body itching that many people get as a side effect was totally eliminated. I think this drug should be better known for this property and prescribed more often.
I was drowsy when I took it, so I took it at bedtime. Then I found I could tolerate it in the daytime as I continued to take it for sinus allergies, and gave me a somewhat anti anxiety effect.
I like this medication and use it 50mg 3 times a day. I am normally very agitated and shaky person, from some nerve damage in my head. Vistaril is a wonderful for allergies, I don't get sleepy and have little or no anxiety problems now.
I have Lupus and have no immune system and I also have chronic bronchitis. Hydroxyzine Pamoate affected my breathing.
Maybe it should be contraindicated in someone like me that has chronic bronchitis.
Still foggy & depressed, but I absolutely CAN'T have a panic attack.
It was great for panic attacks (and allergies, hah)

Mildly constipated, some dizzyness, not much else I can pin point right now (week 2)

Kept getting muscle pain from Statins (Lipitor, Zocor) & also from Zetia so my Dr suggested Tricor. Began taking it reluctantly as I had read many negative things about it. After about 30 days on drug, suffered a ruptured appendix & was in the hospital for 5 days with subsequent infection. Can't prove that it was the Tricor, but it is too much of a coincidence for me.
Bad jolting,hands shaking, not sleeping, no pain relief
THIS MEDICATION IN MY OPINION SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE MARKET. I HAVE TAKEN A LOT OF DIFFERENT MEDS IN MY LIFETIME, AND I AM ALLERGIC TO A LOT OF THEM. BUT THIS IS ANOTHER STORY ALTOGETHER. IT IS ONE THING TO HAVE AN ALLERGY, EVEN AS SEVERE AS ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK, WHICH I HAVE HAD, BUT THIS MED MAKES YOU WISH YOU WERE DEAD. I AM A VERY HAPPY PERSON WHO HAS A GREAT OUTLOOK ON LIFE. I WILL NEVER TAKE THIS MED AGAIN. I AM PLAQUED WITH UTI'S. I RECENTLY HAD TO TAKE AMOXICILLIN AND ROCEPHIN SIMULTANEOUSLY WHICH LED TO C.DIF. I WAS TESTED LAST WEEK AND I AM NEGATIVE FOR C.DIF. HOWEVER, I STILL HAVE DIARRHEA AND GAS LIKE NEVER BEFORE. I HAVE STOMACH PAINS. I THINK FLAGYL DID ME IN.
I needed to split 75mg dose into three, as it caused severe nausea when taken in one dose.I also take prednisolone 5mgs.
