The Lyrica is no longer effective for my post-shingles pain, and so I decided to wean off of it slowly because of the expense and side effects. I have never experienced anything so horrible - severe anxiety, deep depression with death wishes, burning skin, nausea, dizziness, sweats, bad bad insomnia and all of this after reducing my dose slowly. 25mg. every two weeks. I went from 225mg to 200mg and then had to stop because I could not take it anymore. I am now back on my usual dose. I do not know how I will proceed from here, but I am determined to get off of this terrible drug. I would rather have just put up with the shingles pain, but I was not informed of this issue. I am an otherwise healthy person.

This medicine seems to be working but with tons of side effects. Bad taste, headaches, achey\restless legs, sleep issues \ bad or weird dreams, really tired all day, cold hands and feet, dry mouth, major loss of appetite, confusion\ forgetting words or tasks

I was on 80mg of Prednisone for low blood platelets due to my Lupus Im down to 40mg right now. I needed a biopsy and they didnt want to risk me bleeding so I had to get on the meds.I have gained 25 pounds since Jan 1,2010. and all the side effects are stressful, but it has helped the issue with my platelets. I really hate this medicine, but the drs are trying to reduce the dosage and hopefully i can get rid of this excess weight and all the horrible side effects that come along with it and continue on a lower dosage of the meds.

Severe rectal pain and bleeding

Lightheadedness, flushed feeling, red ears and face.

After a week on 500mg twice a day I developed the most intense and excrutiating muscle pain to the back of my legs, I have never experienced pain like it, I thought at first I had caught a bad chill in the muscles, but after a week I still have the pains, I am a normaly healthy person but at times I could barely walk or stretch my legs, I would think twice now about useing this drug.

theres really nothing wrong with it its just the side effects are unbearable.

Taken in tablet form twice a day for 2 weeks and then a week's rest. I found side effects just as bad, if not worse, during the week off! Xeloda is metabolized to fluorouracil in the body. Exposure to chemo is longer than with intravenous treatment every 3-4 weeks. Maybe that's why I feel worse than on CMF most of the time.

Overall, I felt that this medication was helpful and only negative was the weight gain.

Sedation, limb twitches, body temperature dysregulation
