Rash on face, emotional, sharp stomach pain, nausea, felt depressed. I was prescribed this for 4th relapse of c diff colitis. Flaygl didn't work, Vancomicin was not enough by itself so my dr prescribed this. Not working even though I'm on the best drug, according to the Dr 's, for c diff. Finally Dr 's did colonoscopy and afterwards told me I was colonized and would never get rid of it, and would have flares up from now on. This is hard to go through, but other people have other illness worse than this, so I don't want to carry on any further.
DIFICID (FIDAXOMICIN): This medication is used to treat a severe intestinal condition (Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea) due to a type of resistant bacteria. This condition may rarely occur after taking antibiotics. Symptoms include persistent diarrhea, stomach/abdominal pain or cramping, and blood/mucus in your stool. Fidaxomicin is known as a macrolide antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of this resistant bacteria. This antibiotic works in the intestines and is not absorbed by your body. It should only be used to treat this type of intestinal bacterial infection. It will not work for other types of infections, including viral infections (such as common cold, flu). THE FDA IS ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL!!!
This generic drug does not do what it is supposed to. Had been on Cytomel for 2 years at same dose, blood pressure was great, not tired or exhausted by noon going good. Insurance changed and was forced to get generic- now blood pressure is not where it is normally(doc wants to see if I need blood pressure medication) and exhausted by noon. I have tried taking an extra one every other day not helping. Can't wait till I can go back on named brand Cytomel.
Took pain away immediately when the tyleno with codene did not. 24 hrs later I do not like the nausea and plan to taper off from 2 pills to 1 or the codene tomorrow. Not sleeping but am tired, resisting urge to call my friends and chat away.
Fatigue (but not sure if it's the lexapro or my BP med. Diovan)
My pills look like little round white eggs. It makes me sleep good, as I fall into a very deep sleep.
Very bad dry mouth, lost my voice, dry eyes, dizziness, drugged up feeling.
Headache during titration - joint pain - initially somewhat emotional flattened.
Feelings of death and panic attacks.
Very puffy eyes, mainly in the "bag" area; still red; still scratchy (like I have sand in my eyes); light sensitivity to the point that I wear sunglasses inside my house. However, before Restasis, my symptoms were even worse. Severe redness, severe pain, severe light sensitivity.
