Side Effects for Ludiomil (maprotiline hydrochloride)

It barely helped me to avoid the most negative effects of risperdal

Effectively treated severe depression

depression, insomnia, agitation

Dry mouth, dizziness, decreased libido, excessive sweating

I took this for many years; helped with depression and related symptoms but at some point it stopped working. Then discovered Remeron, which was/is a lifesaver. (Tried many SSRIs--they do not work for me).

For AS, I found naprosyn to be the best NSAID, if taken regularly and in sufficient doses. For me, much more effective than ibuprofen or VIOXX. Useful for pain up to about 4 on scale of 10, but can sometimes prevent pain from getting past that point. Many with AS use OxyContin or similar for breathroughs or flareups beyond what naprosyn can handle. I use Lortab-10 (hydrocodone/APAP) which is almost as effective as OxyContin and much cheaper.

charley horses, back and neck pain--actually an ache, lack of appetite.. to even a sense of nausea. veneer of sadness.

Take that drug out of Canada!!! And STOP the Commercials

Night after taking first pill, had severe diarrhea most of night, loss of appetite from day two on, with free floating anxiety, difficulty concentrating, and vivid dreams.

I'd love to hear if anyone else smokes while they chew. Or if anyone managed to quit. Best of luck to all.

This is not medical advice, this is only my experience. Consult a Doctor prior to trying these remedies. To combat the flushing, I would take two low-dose aspirin about an hour before dose. For flushing and stomach upset, I would also try to take it with a meal - at the very least, a full fat greek yogurt, full fat cheese, etc. Protein and fat helped. Nothing helped the dry mouth, and apparently it's not a recorded side effect (although it's the only reason I had dry mouth). Tec nearly cleared my severe Plaque Psoriasis (and made me a happy girl), but after several months Tec did nothing for the MS, having new lesions and/or enhancing lesions on each MRI. Side effects were bothersome and required a bit of planning, but because I had great results with the psoriasis, I tolerated it longer than I would have if I did not have psoriasis.

Absolutely none, I was vomitting before tamiflu and that plus the fever stopped within hours of first dose.
