Hair Loss, Bruising and bumps at injection sites
For what it's worth, I experienced hair loss with Coumadin too. On Arixtra, when I would accidently cut myself, I would still clot and my weight fluxuates between 108-110lbs, so the dosage should have been optimal to overdose for my size. I didn't get another blood clot, so I can't say it didn't do it's job though....
ARIXTRA (FONDAPARINUX SODIUM): Fondaparinux is used to treat serious blood clots in the legs and/or lungs. It is usually used with another "blood thinner" medication (warfarin). If untreated, blood clots can travel to the lungs, heart, or brain, causing serious (possibly fatal) breathing problems, heart attack, or stroke. This drug may also be used to prevent blood clots after certain surgeries with an increased risk of blood clots (such as hip fracture, abdominal, knee/hip replacement). Fondaparinux is known as a "blood thinner" (anticoagulant). It is a drug similar to heparin that works by blocking certain natural substances in the blood that cause clotting. Getting rid of my allergy symptoms created a list of side effects that were much worse than the original problem. Loss of sleep occured after 10 days of taking the drug and was followed by irritability and anxiety. DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG. There must be other allergy medications that do not drive one to the brink of maddness.
this drug left me with a red face constantly like my BP must have been raised, and then with a rash on my face, but made it through the ten days suggested. It didn't help the blood in the urine. I suppose the doc thought it was a bacterial infection.

Im taking this medication as i have hbp after giving birth 5weeks ago it is the worst side effects i have ever had i cant function even the simple things leave me exhausted my partner has given up work to look after me and the kids its that bad im hoping to come off this by reducing my doses daily from today i need my life back!!
