Went to the ER with a migraine that had gone on for way too long. I was on week two. I was given Dilaudid injection with phenergan within 30 minutes or less I felt much better. I did not feel any pain anymore. When I first got to the ER my legs and arms were numb the pain in my head was so bad. They took my BP and it was 160/110-and I take a beta blocker daily! This medicine wiped away all the pain and fast. I felt great the rest of the night aside from a little insomnia and urinary retention.

After 31 days of the pills (250mg one time a day), I got a bitter taste in my mouth that made eating anything impossible. I lost 6 pounds in one week of pure muscle. After 15 days off the meds, taste is very slowly coming back but cannot tolerate dairy, carbs, most meats and cannot taste sugar at all. I live on coffee that tastes odd and oatmeal that is pallitable.

I take it 2 - 3 times a week as needed for sleep. Works great. Make sure to get in bed immediately after taking.

We bought Aleve after reading that Advil may be linked to a higher incidence of heart attack than Aleve. As far as efficacy differences between Aleve and Advil in reducing inflammation and joint pain, the jury is still out.

Well the Lotrel 5/10 DID lower my blood pressure considerably. I think I was 180/110 when I first went into the Dr. to get medication to control it. (FEB 2006) It now ranges to about 125/75..give or take.I don't know how I found this site, but for the last couple of months, I have been coughing and gagging, and a few times, thrown up also. I had a bad allergy??? attack on the palms of my hands, bottom of my feet, and my earlobes only swelled up. Went back to Dr. and got prednesone and everything cleared up. Week later, happened again, but less severe. Told me to go see a Dermatologist. Did that, more meds. Finally cleared the itching up, but I am still coughing hacking gagging all the time. And no one seems to know what it is??? WTF do we have doctors for then??? Now Dr. wants me to go see an ALLERGIST..yeah right. More money...Bullsh!t! I am going to take myself off the Lotrel, and find another Dr.

fogginess, sedation (can compound this side effect of other meds, it says, and I'm also on tramadol & neurontin, neither of which has left me foggy or sedated)

I think I have to stop this medication; the side effects are too harsh. I was hopeful but it's another fail.
