PACERONE (AMIODARONE HYDROCHLORIDE): This medication is used to treat certain types of serious (possibly fatal) irregular heartbeat (such as persistent ventricular fibrillation/tachycardia). It is used to restore normal heart rhythm and maintain a regular, steady heartbeat. Amiodarone is known as an anti-arrhythmic drug. Insomnia, I was seeing shadows, I have not been asleep, it kept me awake. It is now going on 24 hours.
I think this is a great product. I wish it were cheaper and that you didn't have to ask the pharmacist to get it from behind the counter. My local Walgreen's and CVS have it, as well as Planned Parenthood. It is very effective, especially when taken quickly after sex. I've taken it twice and would definitely take it in the future, though hopefully I won't need to since I'm on the BC pill now.
I lost 20 lbs when I first started taking this med when diagnosed with PCOS. I stopped taking for a few years since my PCOS subsided but it came back and I am back on metformin and have lost 15lbs. I am staying on it!!

Initial stinging after insertion which subsided after an hour.Day 1-discharge on applicator.Day 2- waves of nausea and diarrhoea which subsided after a day.Day 3 drawing feeling in pelvic region and lower back pain as if starting a period.All the above subsided.Day 4- soreness in vagina and around bladder.Felt like it was on fire.Dreadful discharge so assumed thrush and took a fluconazole and gave up.Hoping all this subsides now stopping the medication.No idea whether this will help dryness/ atrophy as could not face sex with this amount of soreness and discharge going on anyway!Am worried this will give me an ongoing problem with thrush. All in all it has caused me a pretty rough four days and to no avail.Hope there are othet options available as am done for if this is the only one.Fearing for my future sex life to be honest so has increased my anxiety levels too.Can't seem to get much help from doctors or gynaecologists either@
Suicide caused by this drug is much more common that I thought. I have been depressed in the past but the emotional pain I experienced when on this drug was extreme. Coming off it has also been a nightmare with inability to sleep and feeling extremely hot and cold and nauseous all the time. This drug MUST be banned.
I am a Physician and would recommend this product with reservations and recommend the patient read the side effects carefully. I'd recommend an older, well-studied antihistamine be tried instead. Newer is not better: look at all the drugs taken off the market the last 20 years
Injection sting but gone after hour. None others!
Lower Back Pain (due to injury)
Very dizzy, next day could not get out of bed. Problems breathing.
