i am unsure why my blood levels will not show the dilantin level i need, no matter how high the dose is.

So far I have experienced some burning after injection and some large bruising (not alot) and knots.

I started Depo-Provera July 2007 and had one more shot October 2007. The second shot was to stop my severe period that the first one had given me. I was severely anemic and the doctor advised me to get the second one to stop my period. I didn't want it but she said it would work, so I got it. Well, it worked to well and over a year later I still didn't have my period back. Scared of never being able to have children again I went to several doctors and they didn't know what to do until I FINALLY found one that prescribed me PROVERA... 10 DAYS, 10 MGS, and my period returned three days after my last dose. I had horrible mood swings to deal with (although I think my husband got the worst end of that deal!) but it was all worth it!!!! I finally feel like me again and I have my period back!!! Thank GOD for this drug!

great drug it has changed my life i no longer have to sleep 12 or my hours per day

Dizziness, complete inability to focus on anything, just moving my eyes gives me vertigo, sleeping 13-15 hours, shortness of breath, increased heart rate, nausea

Severe pain in feet/heels when trying to stand or walk, swelling of feet & hands, extreme muscle & joint pain, left knee swelling & pain more severe then right, spasms and tingling in legs, leg pain at night making sleep difficult, elevated blood sugar levels, dry mouth, heightened anxiety, night sweats, lower leg rash, trouble concentrating, short-term memory loss, strong sensation of arthritis in both hands & fingers, numbness in fingers & feet, sensation that something is stuck in my throat, weight gain, over all loss of muscle strength, mental confusion. 43 feeling 90.

My son became so anxiey ridden he was unable to go to school, he cried and was depressed day and night, tried to hurt himself and he couldn't tell us why? We were in counseling and were about ready to try an antidepressant. The night before I was going to give it I searched this site. Thank the Lord. I stopped the Singular. It was the worst 6 months of his life. After 3 weeks off this horrible drug, he was finally getting better mentally. And his moods/altered mind set lingered for atleast 6 more months. DO NOT GIVE THIS TO YOUR CHILD. And the doctor still wanted to try it again??, I refused. There are other drugs to try.

Within 3 months began to feel fatigue, overall weakness, muscle aches, cramping in calves and abdomen. Recently have become lethargic, foggy, slurring sentences and no energy.

Completely changed my life for the better - has lessened migraine severity so much. I used to get severe migraines 3 or 4 times a week with vision loss and vomiting and paralysis and pain. Now i get them maybe once every 6 weeks like that. My seizures haven't been completely yet, but my neurologist is still increasing the dosage of my epilim and topamax, so that should be sorted out soon. Bottom line - if your migraines are severe enough, the *completely reversible* side effects are totally worth it. Also i've lost about 95lbs while taking it. It made me not hungry.

Fatigue, tiredness, lack of concentration at college, feeling a little emotional, occasional but mild chest pains, 'foggy' head, complete loss of appetite. It IS helping my spots though. I am reluctant to keep taking tablets, because i lose concentration in class, and extremely tired.
