Side Effects for Transderm-nitro (nitroglycerin)
Dizziness, confusion, vertigo, nausea and headache.
I have used transderm for years for sea sickness on cruises and never had any side effects. For the past three years I have noticed that every time I come off a cruise and take the patch off, I get terribly sick. I loved the product because it allowed me to travel, which I love to do, without getting sick, but now that I am experiencing side effects, I am going to try Bonine first. I'm experiencing what I would feel like if I were motion sick anyway.
TRANSDERM-NITRO (NITROGLYCERIN): Nitroglycerin ointment is used to treat moderate to severe pain caused by long-term tears in the lining of the anus (anal fissures). This medication works by relaxing the muscles around the blood vessels which reduces pressure inside the anus and relieves pain. Nitroglycerin belongs to a class of drugs known as nitrates. I have an inflamed ankle tendon from running marathons. I was prescribed to take 2 Aleve in the morning and then 2 at night. I had no reactions, but in the 4th week, my ears started ringing and my arms and hands started to tingle. I also had tingling sensations in my lips, left cheek, and chin. I had a sharp pain in my left elbow, and in my left thigh and calf. I also felt "out of it". I went to the doctor and they said the ear ringing was from Aleve, but didn't know why my arms were tingling. They had me get an MRI because they thought it was an early sign of MS. I just got my results back and they were normal. The tingling was from the Aleve. I will NEVER take it again!!!!!!!!!
I'm not angry all the time now and when I do get mad it isn't nearly as big a deal as it used to be. I can now follow a project through from beginning to end. I used to start a project, leave it unfinnished then start another. I had trouble finishing anything I started. I am now getting things done around the house after work and on the weekends. I used to spend a large portion of my time watching TV, surfing the net.

Metformin caused severe exhaustion, most pronounced after each dose.It also significantly suppressed my thyroid function, even suppressing the effects of thyroid medication—causing exhaustion even with induced hyperthyroidism reflected in labs. The effect was so pronounced that when I discontinued metformin I experienced intense hyperthyroid symptoms I had never had before, from too much thyroid medication (which was no longer suppressed by metformin).Nausea, vomiting, exhaustion, anxiety all dissipated 24 hours after last dose of metformin.
After taking levaquin for over 72 hours, I was so sick that I could not leave my bed comfortably. I missed extra days of work beyond what I would have for my abcess because I was so achy and could not keep my food down. It was prescribed for ten days but I am stopping it tomorrow (day 5).
I had been taking Ortho Cyclen for 13 years, with time off for my two pregnancies. I went off that for two months and discovered that it was causing hormonal headaches before my period. I went back on Ortho Cyclen (husband had a fit that I went off) to finish up the three packs I had left then switched to Yasmin. Within a weak I could tell the difference. I have been extremely fatigued. I wake up feeling exhausted and just want to go back to sleep. I have zero sex drive, which I also experienced while on Ortho Cyclen, but this seems worse. I feel like I am in a haze. I am also experiencing calf cramps, and have noticed a huge drop in my endurance while running. I will be going back to the doctor and will be switching back to Ortho Cyclen until my husband goes in for a vasectomy.
Decided to ask doctor to stop taking letrozole. Fingers in both thumbs were in pain. Got a cortizone shot for the left trigger finger but it helped only for one week. Still in pain.
VERY SEVERE Stomach pains! I am only on the 3rd pill of a 2X per day treatment. I stopped and am calling the doctor immediately. My back and side are hurting as well.....This stuff is horrible!!!! I had to leave work early and nearly went to the emergency room
After 1st shot, sore arm 2-3 days, chills 24 hrs later, urticaria for weeks,constant bilateral shoulder joint pain for 3 months now. Had 2nd shot 4 months later with sore arm 2-3 days, no fever, continued bilateral shoulder pain, intermittent urticaria.
