Worst drug I have ever taken. Started out with some minor constipation, nothing big. Then the drug started to lose It's effect so the doctor told me to increase the dosage to 80mg from 40mg. Went like that for a month, constipations grew ever so more painful and eventually one day when I woke up at 6-7 AM, I started having stabbing and cramping chest pains. Had to go to the hospital and once I'm there, everything checks out fine until a cardiologist presses and massages my heart muscles to recreate the intense stabbing pains and wouldn't you know it. the drug has essentially made sections of my heart to become inflamed, resulting in severe pains every 3-5 seconds.If this drug does not help you at a 40mg dose, avoid it like the black plague.
For nine months I had daily mini-migrains to the point it was interfering with my ability to work and I sought help from a neurologist. Because of the information on this website, I stopped taking the verapamil and the migrains ceased the very next day.

This is worth the try. Take it at night if you’re worried about side effects. Drink a lot of water prior and during to avoid water retention.
I would suggest taking this with meals (350 calories or more) and fully digested before taking this medication to prevent nausea and vomiting

i have chronic fatigue syndrome and i think i have fibro. having a lot of muscle pain. took cymbalta at 10:30 am. it's now 5 pm and i'm extremely, nauseas, tired, irritable and running to the bathroom. i will not take it again.
Worst drug ever. Takes (3-5) hours to put you to sleep. Than you have horrible nightmares and remember all your bad dreams the following morning. Does not improve depression at all, makes it worse! The XR version will make you completely incapacitated the following morning to the point where you can't even move your body; literally. Completely halts the effect of stimulants like Vyvanse used for major depression and enabling you to get out of bed in the morning. Worst sleep aid on the market and no patient assistance programs exist. Also terribly expensive. Consider another antipsychotic such as Abilify or Saphris, you'll be glad you did. Plus Abilify and Saphris and Vyvanse will give them to you for free if your income is low enough; generally under ($25,000 annually).
I was recently diagnosed as having mitral valve prolapse - which is listed as a rare, but possible occurance while on the drug. Also - I have gained about 30 pound over the last year. trying to get off has been difficult. Also, a missed dose would cause me to feel like I was experiencing an electrical shock in my brain and it would make all my senses feel amplified.
No side effects. It just doesn't work in my case. I see that a lot of the postings indicate an allergic reaction. If that were to occur to me, I'd report it to the doctor right away.
Relief. The one and only medicine that's sucessfully been a benefit.
