Cardizem sr (diltiazem hydrochloride) Side Effects, Uses Dosages

Side Effects for Cardizem sr (diltiazem hydrochloride)

Less chest pain, blood pressure better BUT dry choking cough especially in morning lasting at least 1/2hour. A couple of times I couldn't breathe, my oesophagus completely closed so I took 2 types of antihistamine which helped. Also the last time I woke up I coughed until I was spitting up blood. I have also recently started on Cpap machine with humidifier. I feel ill and tired and very weak. I would not recommend this to anyone. The benefits do not outweigh the side effects.

The last week was incredibly uncomfortable. It felt like I was trying to burp, but couldn't... CONSTANTLY. And I would get low blood sugar, but I couldn't tell when I was hungry, and had no appetite. It always felt as though I was full. The symptoms went away within a couple days after I stopped taking the pills. I had two instances of heartburn within a week after stopping and NONE since then. If you're stopping this drug, be prepared for a couple bouts of heartburn before getting back to normal.I think now that acid suppression is the wrong way to go for these symptoms, and that physicians are all too ready to diagnose GERD because it is an excuse to prescribe this expensive medicine that has been advertised to them to the point of saturation. Look up and read: Why Stomach Acid is Good For You.

headache, weak knees, no balance, sharp pains throw my stomach, constant stomach ache, gross metal/puke-like taste in my mouth, confusion, exhaustion- it would take me a good hour to get out of bed in the morning. normally im up by.. 5, itchy.

Insomnia (only on 10mgs, hope this changes when I go to 20 mgs)dry mouth

no firm erections, difficulty ejaculating, intense orgasms (nice!), dizziness, night sweats

The doctor actually gave me the option to take up to 2 - 15mg morphine sulfate IR every 4 hours. The most I have taken is 1 every 4 hrs. It does relieves my pain. I have severe back pain, cervical and lumbar. The lumbar pains shoots down both of my legs and sometimes is unbearable. The pain does not go away but it is relieved somewhat. I am not taking even half of what my doctor prescribed due to fear of addiction. Even though I dont get any high from it. I can function better with it than without the morphine. I am an active person and always have been. But I have had 2 cancers on my hip, total hip replacement and chemo and radiation. I tried so many pain medications but the only one that has given me pain relief is the morphine.

Muscle & tendon weakness and extreme pain. On the 8th day of taking the drug I woke up to this issue. This was in March. The level of pain has gone done, but I still cannot stand more than 1 minute. After almost 5 months, I am in extreme pain.

Helped me for about 8 months and then I got my burst cysts back. :-( I hope my battle with them will someday be over.
